Long story short, I can't get this image of the cookie monster cut out. (Don't ask lol) Cookie Monster What I wanted to do was get, just the cookie monster holding his cookie, and a solid white background behind him - with none of that yellow crap and text. I have tried various settings and such on Paint Shot Pro 8 and some other stuff, but I just can't do it. Way I figure, it should be easier in CS2 or one of those programs (I hope). If it wouldn't be too much trouble, would someone be able to help me out with that? Or perhaps if someone has/found fairly large, that may work too. Thanks, Mr_Nickle
this is a pretty hard image to cut out because of the fur(?) lol. ill give it a shot in CS3. ill get back to you soon ! lol only way to do it is to pull out the lasso, steady your hand, and prepare for 10 hours of long and painful highlighting
Well (I think at least) Isn't there an option for color remove? Or to cut out a color from the picture? Not too sure tho.
In CS3 you can use the background eraser tool, which will remove the background easily. It does give mixed results though and needs a little bit of practice. There is also a Photoshop plug-in called Fluid Mask which is amazing but expensive. Probably not an option for this single cut-out, though.
Hmm, what you can do and i suggest is getting another photo of cookie monster, preferably one that has a solid background and not a gradient. That way, you can use the magic wand tool and easily delete the background
here's what i have removing the other stuff from this website: http://ally.escapist.nu/cookiemonster/ have fun, whatever you are going to use it for
I'll take a look at the 14 day trial of that, thanks. It's a shame theres not many Thats the best, big picture I could find. Thanks, if I don't get the big one working, I'll use this for sure. Thanks for your help everybody! Edit: Just quickly tried that program... Works great. I'll perfect it tomorrow! Thanks so much.
Thanks! So many responses Looks great also. That's all I'll be needed. Thanks for all of your help everybody.
Very easy to use. You can select which colors to remove, keep, etc. You can manually chose what to keep and remove, and much more.
I'm way behind here in the post, but I would use image -> filter -> extract in photoshop. All the Best Everyone, Kimberly
