Yes, press release agencies can get you into google news and yahoo news. That fact is not news, that is why people pay for press releases honestly.

Well yea! But it takes time + skill or money to write a quality press release. Not only that it has to be news worthy. Here you can just keep on bombarding them with regular articles related to your niche.

    onemansgoal.com

Sign up to pr.com or find other PR websites and start submitting quality articles as they will appear on Google news.

What do you mean an affiliate link? Get you facts straight before you start accusing people mate. You won't go far like that.

What is the percentage of PRs that get picked up by Google News compared to those that are submitted every day, and how much traffic/backlinks came as a result of this PR?

It was taken last summer and I am going to be 22 in one week. So close enough :)

    mark123456

I have not had time to count but the one PR company I researched had all of its PRs picked up. Yet again, backlinks need time to appear. I will post a follow up withing a week or so to update everyone on results.

I agree with the paid post! I'm not thinking of using them because everybody now is using them to get the edge. Why pay for some to do the job that you can do on your own?

They are just trying to get our money!

Sorry, but this is nothing new. Internet Marketers have been doing press releases for years. Some are free and some are paid. If your press release is good enough, it may get published by magazines or online.

So who paid me for this post? Google news? That PR site? Its just an example. Why would a huge PR company pay for a blog post anyway?

PS: The press release is free anyway "Submit your press release via PR.com for Free"

No shit! :D I'm talking about getting into Google News and it just happens you can do it via PR. The post is not about advantages of PR in general.
