First some background info: I am a huge fan of Twitter. I write about Twitter on my blog... often. I have 1,000 followers (that's nothing special, but definitely respectable) I have written guest posts about Twitter, most notably on Shoemoney's blog. I have been quoted for magazine publications, most notably by Jim Louderback for PC Magazine. If you have a question about Twitter, I will be more than happy to answer it right here on this thread! If you want to do some reading, here is the Twitter category on my blog. - AJ
What have you found to be the best techniques in accumulating followers? I have put a twitter widget that you can see on my website (iconzworld.com) in opes that people will start following me but have yet to receive a single follower. Do you have any tips? Thanks - Mike
The best thing I have found is to follow a small amount of people you respect (50-100) and that start twitter useful links and thoughts. The more value you provide your followers, the more followers you will get.
Yes, very much so. When ever I twitter out a link to anywhere, I usually send between 50-100 uniques (and I only have 1050 followers).
