You two should go into business together. You do not even understand the difference between programming and scripting. You absolutely need 4 years of school, and another 4 on top to repeat what you learned the previous 4
I spend my time doing more important things. If I ever need scripting OR coding done I just hire someone to do it. They cost less than the money I'd lose doing it myself, my time is simply more valuable.
