It took me 11 years when my domain was at PR 6, it just took me 6 months to drop to PR4 I had another blog which took 6 months to reach PR3 and looks to be getting higher soon. So a lot depends on your content. There isn't really a fixed period.
Well quite true, a few dozen good PR links can easily bring you to a PR4, just be more alert at the Link Sales area and buy some of those links. Save you a lot of troubles
Time to PR4- One update if you know how and content doesn't matter when it comes to PR-I did an experiment about 4 updates ago with 8 blogs-I put 2 posts only on each blog and sent one link to the blogs- each got a pr2 upon the next update and the pr of the blogs haven't move since and i haven't updated the content-so it's not about the content, it's about the links you have pointing to a site..I've seen sites that say coming soon with a PR6- Content has nothing to do with pr although if you content is interesting you can drum up some linkbacks or linkbait
Could you please enlarge upon what you meant by "sent one link to the blogs" ? I would like to skyrocket from 0 to 2 at the next update!
It's similar to my first blog. At the first update it ranked 2, and since I'm not updating it regularly the rank just stuck there. Funny though, it only have 5 posts/articles and made it to pr2. I made sure my keyword density and prominence are properly done
Very easy to get a PR2- Write a post on your blog then just go to propeller.com- submit a story- my profile on there is a PR4 then you pick a category- most one keyword categories have a pr- pick one with pr news, men, television, sports those have like pr7 then you pick 4 tags with pr-news tag is a pr6 but there are at least 60 tags with pr make sure you story is sumbitted to a pr category with pr tags then you go drink some coffee, run a marathon, swing off a pole, plan for retirement and wait till next pr update and you will have shiny new pr on your domain
You are going to be a great mate of W3Master... Reply what thread poster ask, I don't find that he has used any word like pr is imp or not.
I would like to say, PR is always useful for link Exchange with quality sites. But important is your targeted keywords and quality traffic of your business website in search engines. Now if you are really intesting to get info about, How long take PR 4 ? So First Its depend on your Quality Content. 1) quality content 2) your on page optimization 3) off page optimization 4) maintainance of your site 5) Quality visitors traffic on your site so first consider above points and you will get good page rank soonest Best of Luck John
If you would like to improve your page rank you should be consistently building backlinks your site you should try to get backlinks from relevant sites with high page ranks. You should not add links and stop, it's an ongoing process.
I f i was you i wouldn't try to get worthless pr ranking i would just ad great content to my website.
If you know how to build backlinks efficiently you can get PR4 by the first PR update.... they update every 3 month approximately...so three months to PR4... additional PR levels could take longer but if you stay consistent and keep building you can reach a PR6 within a year.
it all depends on your effort in getting backlinks from the high PR sites as in building link exchanges or buying links and also depend on the content level of your site. If it is quality content and worthy of sharing, you will automatically get backlinks from rpeutable or high PR site or even from edu sites.
