Does someone know how to cheat pagerank?

    Hi all.

I am now testing one website for pagerank cheating.

And I have observed some kind of "jump" may cheat the pagerank.

When I set the jump url to "google.com", the website may have pagerank 10 after next time pr updates.

Does someone else know this idea?

And someone who has tested it?
    Is it work?

What is a "jump url to google.com"? How should that work?

I have observed two web pages erroneously showing PR10 in the KW-Tracker about a month ago. This changed after two or three weeks back to what they had before - namely PR5 and PR6. However, I attributed that to some malfunction of the KW-Tracker.

Go the honest and long way, cheating won't help you for long, once you are branded a cheater, you are a cheater for life. It is not worth it.

Don't try to cheat Google. Google algorithm will eventually crush you.

You will probably get your site banned rather than getting pr 10.

I think he means Domain Forwarding when he talks about "jump url to google.com"

Anyone can set your domain to forward to any website and what he is trying to ask is that if you leave the doamin fowarding to google.com round about the PR update, will the domain get a fake PR10 when you take the forwarder off.

Yes it does work, but you need to leave the forwarder on for at least 2 PR updates.

Personally i would not even bother because there are so many PR Checker tools availalbe on the internet that anyone can now check if the domain is fake or valid. Also i am not sure why you would want to do this unless you intend to start selling links etc but then you will be scamming people as the PR would be fake anyway.

Cheating is unethical and immoral. Get a sense of conscience.

All the guy is talking about is having your domain over google, your site will eventually goto PR10. The only person that would want this is someone desperately trying to rip someone off.

I had one of my domains do that. I wasn't being unethical. I ended hosting with a company and I didn't bother moving the domain anywhere. Eventually the host had it load their start page. My site ended up with a PR5.

Yes, you can cheat page rank, This is called 301 redirects.

    Suppose there is website www.pageranked7website.com
and you have www.pageranked7website.net which redirects to .com site, than after some time your website will have the page rank of .com website. But it would be fake PR and there are chances that you will be caught by google in no time. In that case you may get penality by Google.

So if you don't want to get banned in Google, avoid such practice. Because google is very well aware of this technique, infact currently they are working on it's remedy.

You would be better off spending time to get a real pagerank because in the long run it is much more profitable.

Yes, you can cheat your page rank using domain forwarding or redirect and make google's toolbar shows you the PR of the site you redirect to. Basically it's pointless unless you are trying to cheat some newbies to pay for a link from your site. Like what wdirectory said, there are lots of tools out there to check your PR. In fact, a person can check your site's PR by just using Google's info: command to check whether you are cheating.

Hmm, (not aimed at any posters in this thread) our culture has plenty of people cheating on taxes ... cheating on spouses ... now cheating on PageRank. Whatever happened to integrity and being able to look yourself in the mirror when the day's work is done?

You are damn right! Why would cheat when you know that cheating isn't the best investment in the long run?
