Why do I seem to get the same amount of visitors per day?

I know someone must know. It seems like one most of my sites, if I get like 1100 people a day, it is the same everyday it seems except on the weekend. I would think that I would have spikes or something. Since they are most of the time new visitors, is google capping the amount of times my site is viewed when people search for things?

Usually this is because you stopped developing the site or its content. You've probably maxed out the number of SERPs you can get for your keywords. Start building more backlinks, and adding more content targetting new and different keywords. The traffic will remain the same unless you do something to change it.

    I agree with w3Master.
People usually don't like to seat in front of computer desk on Holidays.

How ON EARTH can google control how many people visit your site?
Even if they allocated one member of staff to your website, to spend all day monitoring it's position in the result pages, moving it up and down after every click, they still wouldn't be able to control how many people search for all the keywords and longtails that can lead to your site, or who does and doesn't click.
And what do you think they do about people who are finding your site in other ways? hmmm?

    p.s. they aren't doing that.

They could have programmes for it how do you think your site goes up and down in results in the first place. Google is going to put more popular sites ahead of others so that they can make more money from search ads and adsence on sites. Think about it, it makes more sense.

No one knows how PR realy works anyway but they do say its to do with site importancy.

If you put Bebo Pr7 vs DP Pr6 in a search which do you think would win in a search result by coming up first? then maybe DP would come up in results in first place on results related to webmaster stuff but not as a social site like bebo. Ok serps ok but not intierly if you put the same conent on a forum Pr1 and the same content here at DP say a pr3 page which do you think will come up in first place?

Pagerank will change the numbers coming through a site there is no doubt about it even if each site has the same number of backlinks and the same serps face it with all the sites on the web no one site can ever be ahead of there serps.

Humm!! sounds very strange, even I've some dormant websites and I never saw same number of visitors.

What about looking at the Awstats or any other stats provided by your host? Have a look at that.

Google is for Google traffic only and I'm sure you will get a better picture with Awstats.

Alternatively get a free stat installed or use my fav. http://www.phpmyvisites.us/

Traffic usually drops during the weekends, but so true, if your site remains the same, same content, you're probably getting the same number of searches, simply from different people.

More new original content = more visitors. :)

try to rank for more keywords, if you are in the top 10 of google for 10 keywords you will get some traffic, if you are for 100 your traffic will improve, then it even depends how much traffic every keywords sends you, some kw can send you 10 visitors a day, some other kws 10000....

Traffic depends on the amount of people searching for that keyword.
