Stratos Jet Charters has a new affiliate program that pays pretty well. It does not run through any networks so there is no middleman to pay (which means you get paid more) and the basic set-up is this:

    - $50 for signing-up
    - $15 per qualified lead
    - $200 for each flight booked

Payouts at $100 and online tracking of your account.

Please check it out at - Jet Charter Affiliate Program and tell me what you think.

How do you get paid? I prefer paypal because you don't have to wait long to get paid.

Surely you've done some in-house testing, so what does the EPC come out to be and what is the conversion rate?

    PayPal or check

As to conversion rates it is hard to tell as the program is new. Most new affiliates get to the $100 payout point with the sign-up bonus and 4 qualified leads (total of $110). It takes a bit more to get one of the leads to convert into a sale, but if I were to give you my best guess - it is probably between 8-15 qualified leads until there is a conversion. Hope that helps.

Also - here is a post from a new affiliate who just dumped Elite Jets and moved over to Stratos Jet Charters recently (March 17th) and is doing well with the program - http://www.jetchartertravel.com/2008/03/17/stratos-jets-our-new-online-partner/

Are there really that many people searching online for a chartered jet? I would think most people who use these have already bought into some sort of fractional ownership, thus the number of leads per day would be quite small.

<added> just checked google keyword tool and it appears that this is a mildly popular search term https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal </added> so maybe there is some money here :)

    I wouldnt trust stratosjets.

I was hired to revamp their PPC campaign as the marketing company that was managing it was charging them $50,000.00 per year.

Worked out a long term proposal (1 year) after I went in chopped out the waste and improved the campaign overall... two months later the owner decided he was no longer going to use PPC.

Seems to be a liar to me.......

Your anger and post are very unprofessional and uncalled for as they have nothing to do with this thread. Yes it is true you worked for them and yes it is true you produced a PPC campaign. It is also true that the PPC campaign you created for them underperformed all previous campaigns and they decided to no longer use your services. That is the end of the story.

All I have to say is if the company can't make their ppc profitable, how could an affiliate working on smaller margins? Possible, but not probable. Organic traffic on the otherhand usually converts better.

LOL - No anger here .....

I would not have been able to tell how the PPC campaign performed since I was not allowed to add the Google Conversion code to the clients pages.

This is about honesty and Stratosjets. So it most certainly is on subject....

I was told they were no longer going to invest in PPC.....not that my campaigns were not performing well.....but that they were no longer using PPC and no longer needed my services.

And in closing I choose to make others aware of advertisers and affiliate and their shady practices or methods of operation that are somewhat less than savory to help protect others who are at times easily led astray by hype claims without any proof...

It is the Internet,,,,and I am an American, both which offer me the right to free speach....and which I use as I wish.

Don't like it ....don't post online....

    ;)

It's still in the lead above Elite Jets. Their affiliate manager Joel is a very nice guy and on the bloody ball! He'll actually answer your emails and help out with whatever which almost all of my other affiliates never did...never heard a peep back from Elite Jets. They also have a new booking tool out soon, but I won't spill the beans on that hehe.

I think a well done PPC campaign can do well, but organic does convert better you are correct.

I understand what you are saying and yes this is American and you are free to post whatever you choose. I may disagree with you on the relevance question, but I wish you nothing but good luck.

You are correct and thanks for the heads-up on the new booking tool. Good luck on your program and popping in on this thread to post your thoughts as they are appreciated.

Just a quick update for another affiliate as to how they are doing on the program. Here is a letter from them about their experiences with Stratos Jet Charters and their affiliate program:

    Stratos Jet Charters

    May8/08

    Joel

Just wanted to let you know that Bernadette, and myself are very happy to be part of the Stratos Affiliate Program.

As you know we are a full online travel agency, and really felt a Jet Charter program on our site, would add extra value for our clients as well as provide a good source of income for our company. So we signed on with a jet affiliate program we found online. We worked for 18 months with this company provided them with good supply of leads, during that period our income with them was zero, we also wrote them on several occasions asking for updates on our leads and also if there was anything we could do to improve our sales … no one ever got back to us. Since then have heard other online affiliate had the same problem with them.

So, we decided to try out a second firm, this company was much easier to work with and we did make some sales. However we found that they could not fulfill all our flight requests, which meant our customers went shopping some where else.

Joel it took awhile but we finally found Stratos, I was a little unsure about signing on with a company that gives out a $50.00 just for sign up. Was wondering why they would do this.. Well we’ve been on board about three weeks now, in that time we had six sales! And our first payment sent via PayPal was in our account much faster then we thought. Just wanted to let you know - yes we are very pleased and will also be putting Stratos Jet Charters on our second website.

Look forward to working with you even more ….
