So my "Ban Compar Campain" pissed you off so much that you wanted to buy an assault rifle? Come on Bob, my comedy is not that bad.

All right Bob, since I am not funny I will focus on issues from now on, no more joking around, no more CT's, no more being nice to members, just serious industry issues will be discussed.

Until you make another joke that is funny, then I will follow your example and get back into comedy since I can not let you be the only comic here.

So if you can hold out without letting your very good humor loose, so will I, deal?

    Deal :D

You know AC, I just spent who knows how long reading this thread. I am still laughing. How did I miss this from the beginning. Anyways, AC, you are one person who I enjoy watching try to light a fire under people. You have done it to me, and others here, just don't tread to close to the edge... :)

Hehe - This was his first thread if I remember rightly.

Man that was VERY frustrating trying to argue with Anthony.

    Funny stuff.

I can't believe you read through the whole thing NC. How long did it take?

Close to an hour I believe, I lost track. I laughed, I cried, then I cried laughing. It was not a total waste, I learned a lot about a few people because of that thread ;)

Well it is damm hard to argue with something that is real, if I told you a freight train is coming down the tracks and it will run you over if you don't get your arse out of the way......

You can see it coming, you can hear it, but you insist it is not real, then it hits you and cuts you in half, don't blame me, because I told you it was coming.....

That is what happened with a lot of my so called CT's, they happened, they came to pass and now are history.

Big companies took notice of this little guy and made changes.

I am sure there are folks that will argue about that fact also.

If so they can argue with themselves, because I have proven myself.

The stage is open for anyone else that wants to step up and prove themselves.

Go ahead and do it, if you see something wrong in the industry, do not be afraid to let it be known.

It might cost you some friends, but you will win respect which may be more important in the long run.

Thanks for all the laughs Anthony, though I am surprised that so many posters never twigged to the fact that you never post a direct link to anything, always just a link to your site, where the link you are pointing to could be found, so I am wondering if that is the motivation behind it all?

I do tip my hat to you, Anthony, you are without a doubt the greatest Google conspiracy theorist out there, too bad you can't substantiate any of the theories, but then if you could there would not be these long long threads full of links to your site.

Mel, you know how much I like you, but what I published was proven and is now history, a lot has changed since this thread was started.

The SERP's are all changed that I left links for in the original study, like I said, all of the search results in question are gone now (history).

I think if you go back and read the threads I started here and pull every link, you will find that I have provided more links to members here than anyone.

You will also find that most of the links are not back to my sites.

Why don't you pull the threads and calculate the percentages and let us know before you paint your pretty picture?

I call 'em as I see 'em Anthony and thats the way I saw it.

I most definitely am not going to go back and reread this thread to count which links are to your sites. If you feel I have done you a disservice then you do the calcs and I will respond.

It's amazing how new fights can start up on old threads.

The thing that strikes me Mel is that even if a lot of the URLs Anthony posted are to his own site, the fact that he is not allowed to post a live link makes these virtually useless. So I have a little trouble with the accusation that he is doing it for purely selfish reason.

No Mel, I said to go count the links in ALL of the threads that I started at DP (better yet in all of my posts), then give me the percentages of links to sites other than mine.

I have left more links to outside sites than anyone on this forum. Prove me wrong on that fact

Payout, good to hear from you, it is good to see an honest broker, also Bob it is always good to hear from you, even if you are honest only once in a while :D

Mel is just busting my ____s as he always does, Mel knows I like his posts, he just wants to let me know he is still alive over there in the far east.

I will tell you this, that Mel is a great forum player, a very good poster and also a great SEO man who understands a hell of a lot about search engine algo's.

But Mel, the only motive I have ever had on any forum was to either make jokes or make folks aware of real events or provide a view from my angle.

I never made up any of the stuff I posted except some of the comedy that I post. Most folks can tell the difference between taking pot shots at others to have fun and serious posts.

You say I leave links to drive traffic to my sites, with that being the sole reason that I spend hours on forums, but folks that know me well understand that is not true.

If you can tell me a better way to make folks aware of hundreds of references and articles on subject matter being discussed other than pointing them to a research website that has specific pages with links on the subject matter, please let me know.

Gee Anthony how can I argue with you when you say nice things about me? Good Strategy.

I admire your persistence, but anytime anyone can only see one point of view when there are clearly others equally as valid, I just have to respond.

To take just one point Anthony that reallllllly bugs me, you keep saying that Google is " tracking your actions and where you surf" but I am sure you know that the toolbar has no way of knowing who is using it or even what computer it is installed on, so it is crystal clear to me that while google is getting information on where the user is going and what he is doing (maybe) none of this is Personal information nor does it have any tags which identifies who it is tracking.

What Google is doing is market research (which most ecommerce sites also do) but none of the information is personal information, it is anonymous information, which is just as useful for Googles purposes.

If I thought for a moment that Google had any way of tagging the information it receives with my name or other identification (as does sites like Amazon or EBay) then I too would be up in arms.

Can you please tell me why you really think it is all that bad that Google gets all this anonymous information?

Really Mel, we have been through this all before on this forum, but I will leave one more link about the danger of software that autoupdates.

    http://schram.net/articles/updaterisk.html

I am sure that administration does not want us to keep this toolbar crap going forever since it has been discussed many times here already.

I can not give you any better answers than were already given in the other threads on the subject.

Time moves on, I am not going to keep talking about the same issues forever.

Yes Anthony we have discussed this before and you still have yet to answer my question, so every time you bring it up I will ask the same question.

Nice link, but anyone can publish anything they want on the web and your pointing to it does not make it fact, but to take a line from that article:
Since you are linking to that article I assume that you agree with the writer (who by the way did not mention the toolbar in this list of programs) that we should not be using Windows OS, Norton Antiviruse, Adobe products, etc etc simply because they have an update feature?

Personally I really think that the risk that the FBi is going to force Norton to install a spy program on my computer in guise of an update is so negligible as to warrent less than a nanoseconds thought. YMMV

There are people who are at risk from this happening however, people like AlQueda agents, terrorists, etc and if the FBI can get information on them in this way, then I say more power to the FBI.

I do not have the slightest compunction about denying citizens rights to terrorists.

The question would have to be asked of you..... Do you see the date on the last post prior to yours? It was Sept 12, 2004 - THAT WAS 2004!

AC is always high. I think he grows his pot in his fields in Florida and inside some of the trailers on his property.
