Just a few hours ago I lost control of my vehicle because of seeing a lane divider too late to react in time, due to speeding. The car flung into the air and luckily landed on it's chasis & didn't flip over. Front right wheel is fubar & tyre is bust. Front right suspension gave way as well. I missed hitting a group of people by a very short distance as it careened to a stop & it was sheer luck that I didn't hit them. This is my first such alcohol related incident. I'm sharing this here to further the fact that alcohol does effect your spatial judgement & reaction times. I've been drinking alcoholic beverages regularly for more than 5 years and driving regularly for 3+ years. No matter how used to it you may be it can still get to you. I would suggest refraining from consuming even so called safe amounts if you are going to drive. I was lucky this time, it may not be the case for everyone all the time!
You are very fortunate to not have hit or killed anyone. I hope that you have truly learned something from this incident.
Thanks EGS.... I share a message to dissuade others from making the same mistake and this is what I get clark71822, yes I certainly have. Never will drink & drive again!
I must admit, drinking and driving is very very dangerous. I don't do it unless I have to (I guess I never have to, but I don't liek staying over anywhere). I usually drink and drive less than once a month if I can't avoid it.
What is a BAC? Lol, sorry if I sound so n00bish. Repped you, thanks for the warning. Hope others will learn from your experience
Alcohol was neither good for anyone in past nor is today. So better be sure that you leave this habit. I fail to understand why people take alcohol?
ROFLMAO. Glad you are ok though. I do my drinking at home and don't drive anywhere and I would suggest you do the same.
it is NOT REALLY GOOD to drink and drive. aside from risking your own life you are also risking the lives of innocent people in the street. Good thing, you learned your lesson Thank you for sharing your story.
