    Hello,

I've had my website for around 2 months. It profits around 500-800 a month just from one CPM / CPP advertiser. It's a free, %100 legal service with a growing user database every day. I was wondering how much this website could sell for?

I appreciate all knowledgeable feedback, and although I haven't given you a lot of information about the niche of the site, hopefully I can get some good estimates

    Thanks!

There's some recent proof of revenue from only adsense - It's the only way I've set up for revenue.

The idea behind the site is free Online Storage space for backing up your hard drive.

Custom coded website with a Online User interface to upload and manage all files.

With an admin panel to manage all users, their files, maximum space, etc.

Hope that helps with a more accurate estimate.

calculate the money you would make with it in a 1/4 year or 1/2 year and that's the price

Wrong. That is so far off it's not even funny.

Here's a tip to the original poster. This forum is notorious for low balling websites, and internet property. If your site has a solid form of revenue, and has a track record to show it, then you are going 12-24x month revenue.

Obviously, the longer you've had the site, the better in this case. Now, that is not the only formula. A buyer has to take into account the site quality, content, traffic, and other factors. But I can tell you 3-6 month revenue only applies to lower value garbage sites.

I appreciate the good response Barefootsies, I thought 3-6 months was ridiculously low.

It is. But there are plenty around both DP, and SP who will give you some offers that are insulting. Basically showing that they are either

    1. Cheapskate
    2. Know absolutely nothing about internet real estate, and assume you do not either.. So you know to dismiss them immediately.

I am fielding offers on a site that will make $60k this year, and almost 40k last. (I have all sales docs to show recurring revenue.) I have one person from the forums offer me $10k for it.

Obviously beyond ridiculous to the point of insulting. But it's safe to say they are 1, or 2, above. Maybe both. Or they figure the person selling has no clue, and is willing to take .10 cents for the site.

I've always gotten what I wanted for sites, and domains of value over the years. But sometimes I have had to wait, and re-list. But it's worth it in the end.

Also factor in your database of users... you'll be able to generate more money from a user database than a site that doesn't have one, considering both sites generate the same revenue. 12 months seems to be the average, maybe more for someone that really wants it: i.e, someone that already has experience in that niche.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do :)

As mentioned in the other similar thread. 10 months, nor 12 months is the 'average'. It depends on many factors and where the revenue comes from.

For example, I deal mainly in membership/recurring revenue sites. No one is going to sell for less than 18-24 months revenue. Unless desperate for the money, or can't provide proof.

If you have solid, consistent sales and can show it you get top dollar. You would not get the same money for an affiliate, adsense, or similar type site. However, a lot of these seem to be less that 6-12 months in age anyways.. that I see on DP any ways.

Your site is too new to appraise. Hold it a year then sell it for the price of its annual income. You can open another site just like it one year from the sale date.

    Exactly.

If you are looking for a quick buck, then you are going to get the 2 month chump change. If you can show a steady 12 months, cash out for that. If you keep it longer, cash out for more.

In the end, it all depends on how you wanna cash out. A lot of people are happy doing the pump n dumps, and noobs fall for em. Hustling for the chump change.

Well, I'm not looking for "chump change", or to hustle anyone. I had intentions of creating the site, running it for a few months, proving it's potential, worth, and revenue, and hopefully selling it for a decent amount. I'd love to sell this site for around 6k, and it's making anywhere from 600-800 a month.

    Does that price seem reasonable?

When it gets time to sell, your income is one piece.

Links back, traffic, SEO among other things will all be taken into account.
