I own one site relaxationtips.org and it earns me 3/month. I make $3,000/month. I'm new to this and only spend about 1,600/month. After taxes my income is 2,400 so I can save 800/month. So if I can find sites to buy for 12 times earns I can hopfully be up to around 805/month next year. This is where the fun can really begin. I'll take my 800/month savings and combining it with the 800 from adsence and save 1,600 per month...... in two or three years I wouldn't have to work if I followed strictly an adsence program. Luckly I have a few tricks up my sleeve.
No, I don't make more, not even close but I'm working very hard at it. And it wouldn't take much to overtake my high school teaching salary! (sad, very sad) I am pretty sure I will have much more affiliate money than adsense.

Sadly my traffic isn't steady enough to make income one day I'll make $100, the next I'll make $2. And eventhough I know where everyone's coming from, it's like the internet has mood swings, and when it's happy I make money

It's really depend what the salary in your country If you living in US then basic salary is different if you living in India. For my case , I don't have any day job salary, I earn my full income from the web and the AdSense part is about 15% from my monthly income, which is good for my opinion (for now , always want more) increasing the percentage will just mean increase my traffic and maybe some optimization. But for my opinion affiliate market even though is tougher is much more profitable.

Yeah! I have observed that. I get a lot of clicks from china on my WESTLIFE BAND website. All of them will be around 10-20 Cents.
