I do not think there are any alternatives to google, google is in a
    league of it's own.

future google alternative? at least not now. For future, who knows.

Google stand up in one day, will also die in one day. If someone invent a VERY fancy search engine better than google at least 5 times, I will change quickly.

"Have you ever heard about such thing, as searching the web by picture? I mean, you don’t need to type those keywords over and over again, for example you just picture some DVD cover, and you get results about the DVD you pictured."

Seems impossible to me.. Oh well it's Japan. They could probably pull it off. I look forward to the day Google will have some serious competition.

Yeah- google has cornered the market in terms of efficiency, innovation and market base. It's a virtual monopoly

I agree... But if someone will invent something close (even if it isn't as good, but close) to what Google has, I would go there just to give Google some competition.

In current situation there is no one can think about any competitor for Google in English.
But in some countries like china - Baidu, in Russia - "yindex.ru" and "mail.ru"
are used by People more than Google.
Even in Russia, Google ranks for Search at 6th Pos.
But in English... no one can defeat it.

No one will gonna beat them! I mean, 75% of searchers are using google and I'm one of them. What is that again? Google alternative like using phone? nah.. I just don't like the idea though..
