So i understand seo has allot to do with keyword selection, but how do you implement these keywords in your website.
I know using them in the title helps, obviously in the content.

    Is that it?

you can use that in your site's meta tags,
create a title and description using your keywords or I may optimize it.

In seo all are targeting keywords. You also try in your site title and meta discription and key words also.

I put them in the title tag (<title></title>), headings, anchor text (the text inside links), lists - and most importantly, the main page content.

I also don't write for search engines either. Instead, I write for people.

Do a search on google for "google keyword selection tool". I find this very useful for finding keywords. If you type in say 'printing' you will be overwhelmed by the number of seemingly relevant keywords. Look for 'long tail' keywords such as printing services London (these tent to have less competition.

when you have around 4-5 of these, then start to develop relevant page text, such as ....we provide printing services for x and y...and interweave these keywords into the page text.

"I know using them in the title helps, obviously in the content."

Other than this, use keywords in anchor text of the back links that you get. Back links are the most important factor in SEO.

alt is an attribute of the img element, not a tag.

No, content is the most important factor. Without it, you won't be getting any of those links.

Look, what it all boils down to is if you give the web something of quality and value, then it will pay off eventually. Link building is important, but can also have a negative impact if you settle for low quality links in "bad neighborhoods" (off-topic directories, etc.)

One good quality link is worth many low quality links, so focus on quality when you decide to build links.

When using keywords, you must find the right median between "writing for search" and "writing for humans". Whatever you do, you don't want to sound like a robot. Google and Yahoo are much too smart to be manipulated by that crap and have been fixing their algorithms to be more human-like every day.

My suggestion would be to find someone who has good grammar and writing skills or is a professional copywriter and have them help you write your content.

H1 tags have a heavy weight in terms of search, along with Title tags, but be sure you are writing with users in mind as well. Keyword stuffing, when you put too many desired keywords into your content and tags, is quickly becoming an obvious disqualifier for search because it goes against Google's mission - Which is to provide users with quality answers and information they seek.

SEO isn't really an art, but it does take some very good skills to work in keywords with quality human understood content, which is why some SEO's are successful and some aren't.

    I hope this helps! :D

there was an arguments about this in other forum before, some webmasters believed that backlink is more important than content, but I disagree too.

I'm also practicing seo and I love to experiment. I tried to rank this Blog by having "muslim blog" as an anchor text to its backlinks, but it just move very little. But some my websites, I just add a few keyword on the body, title and other tags, in just a short time, they are now on the first page in Google, Yahoo and Msn for my target keywords.

This is most likely due to lack of competition for the keywords you are targeting. However, if some other SEO was to come along and they knew what they were doing, you would most likely be outranked within a matter of weeks. Also, make sure you are targeting the most common keyword / keyphrase for your topic. It's common that we see results with certain phrases only to learn that it hardly ever gets searched. Keyword research is important before investing any time into SEO.

    I hope this helps.

Yes, for some of the target keywords they really had very few competition. But I'm just trying to point out that contents with the target keywords is more important than back links. Other Seo will disagree but I just based it on my experience.
