Page rank status after website redesign

I re-designed my website using different (different than the first one) html editor. Does my redesigned website will have a impact on the current page rank? Do I have to take care of anything while switching to the new one? Any feedback on this would be helpful.

Will your PR increase because you have a new design?

    No.

Your pagerank could be affected, especially if you changed the site structure. A common mistake in redesigns is renaming existing URL's without using a 301 to point to the new page. But if you did not change the URL structure, you should be in good shape. Adding pages can also deplete some pagerank, but normally this is minimal.

Good luck with your new design! :)

I don't think this will affect the site PR, PR is more on backlinks...

Page rank will not change if you redesign your site.

As the others have said, it won't change unless you change the structure of your links (for example, page.html to web-page.html or page.php). And by structure I mean the organization of the site's content (home page, category/section, content/product page) and the URLs that point to them.

In which case, using a 301 permanent redirect to "forward" the old link to the new one will be the best and only real option available to you.

Thank you all for your feedbacks.

As I am not going to change the web URL & page structure (I will maintain the same page name with extension) I guess risk is minimal. But I will be adding more pages ( 3 to 4) to my site.
