My site is http://www.narutowallpaper.biz/Gaara/Gaara/. It gets about 40,000 Adsense ad impressions per day and gets only 1% CTR. People keep telling me that my CTR could be higher, so if anyone can make a suggestion that takes my CTR from 1% to 2%+ I will donate them some money through Paypal - $20 for 2% CTR, $50 for 5% and so on.

I will test the ad placement for one day to make an accurate test.

I would try CPM but no companies feel like giving me an account.....

For these type of websites, people always focus on pictures and not on links so I suggest you change your text ads to image... just try for one day and let see..

Oh, thanks, I'll give it a shot. Should I go with one horizontal banner image or two square images or anything in particular?

    your 468 banners...

change font colour to match the rest of the site and give them some top/bottom padding so that they are not so squashed up to the text.

also, check the googles referral links for related ads. i'm sure you'll find some :)

Your site looks good. I would try to change the grey color and put a little more color into it. Most of your site is orange so I would change the links to orange. Keep the white background.

    Thanks, I'll try.

Sadly the other two ideas haven't worked well. The referral ads are getting some clicks (35 in 1 days) but no clicks. The contextual ads don't seem to get a higher CTR than the first ads.

    Link Unit: 0.62% CTR
    Square Image: 0.43% CTR
    Square Contextual: 0.17% CTR
    Today's total: 1.22%
    7-day average: 1.07%

So today's is a little higher.

Any idea why my referral ad got no conversions at all?

I would like to suggest that you put small images, possibly thumbnails in your site and somewhere along the middle of those thumbnails is where you put your AdSense Ads appearing like descriptions to your thumbnails. Optimizing for the Ads placement is good via experimenting and I really love the art of doing it everytime in my own site.

you can also try changing the color of your AdSense ads links into something very familiar to be not ads links like "BLUE" or "ORANGE" which matches the header image.

You can even try putting some of those 5-link units 728x15 horizontal row in your navigation bar above the content. If the Ads won't fit, try the 4 link units.

I hope this helps coz if not, you ought to see a conversion expert...as a last resort because your traffic is enough to make you good money in this case and you can maybe even make more of it if you pay some to the conversion master yo ought to hire for the service....sound logical eh! :D:D ;)

If I was you i would first start learning more about my customers, who are they where are they coming from how much time are they spending on the send and of course their age.
To get your viewers age all you need is to put a simple poll on the side to help collect the info.
Once you have the necessary data you will have to start designing your site depending on what you get. Google analytics is very interesting it even tells you where your viewers are cliking on and the path each viewer follows on your website.
You have to give something for free or everyone will lose interest in your site.
Don't make the pages too long because most of the viewrs don't like to scroll down the page to see what's in the bottonm unless youfind a way to make them more curious about what's on other pages.
To run a total seo wouldn't be a bad idea. If you are interested i can do that for you for 50 dollars and you don't have to pay untill after 2 weeks, if you see an improvement in your earning you can pay me. And if you don't you wouldn't have to pay a dime. It's a win win situation. But you have to follow everything I ask you to do.
I will be waiting for your PM.
    Have a great day

master_06, that is against the Adsense ToS.

rhoula, I'm not sure what you're offering me for $50. SEO or demographic research?

Currently it gets about $10 from Adsense and $10 from Adbrite, any ideas to bring it to $100 per day? I'll give you some money if you increase the revenue by anything significant (25% +).

i think you can change your wallpaper pic become a thumbnail...
you can have different resolution... for exam..
    600 x 800 | 1280 x 900 |etc |etc
when the picture become small.. they will not over focus the pic..
they will focus on the pic.. i think you can have a try
sent me a PM if it really work!!
