Actually you in my eyes did exactly the same thing as the OP in posting without an iota of fact. You may want to do some research as Google has datacenters all over the world. Most are sitting in tractor trailer type trailers. Google is operating data centers, building new ones, or maintaining equipment for network peering. Here are some of the locations of data centers that are known about However Google does not disclose all of them naturally. * UNITED STATES Mountain View, Calif. * Pleasanton, Calif. * San Jose, Calif. * Los Angeles, Calif. * Palo Alto, Calif. * Seattle * Portland, Oregon * The Dalles, Oregon * Chicago * Atlanta, Ga. (two sites) * Reston, Virginia * Ashburn, Va. * Virginia Beach, Virginia * Houston, Texas * Miami, Fla. * Lenoir, North Carolina * Goose Creek, South Carolina (Under construction) * Pryor, Oklahoma (Under construction) * Council Bluffs, Iowa (Under construction) Without them they would not be able to use cloud computing nor return reults in nano-seconds. http://www.itjungle.com/bns/bns100807-story02.html Load balancing has not been an issue for Google in numerous years.
Yes they have datacenters, never said they did not, even defined what they are(rooms full of servers). I said the ip address that everyone calls datacenters are not datacenters, but the ip addresses on the frontend load balancers. These will be directed to even more load balancers to create pools of them. At that point, any load balancer can direct traffic to any datacenter, or pool of servers within a datacenter. it’s stranger to drop from 7 to 4 still need someone get us any proof for that i have more than 36 sites and nothing update for me
Spinal Tap, brilliant. Reminds me of a blog post I did last year: Google will soon increase Pagerank to 15 due to "PR-leakage"! All the idle (and wild) speculation about PR and Google does get tiring, but on the other hand, weird things do happen and when your business depends on it you tend to start blaming the "gods"...
I'm just using the Google Toolbar and checking on various online tools. Go to PVPonline.com and check the PR. He was 7, now he is 4. I just noticed last night. Its a 10 year old site. Alexa top 10,000. Thousands of backlinks. He got hit.
thats good enough for me ..i ll come back and look again in 3 weeks, you called first and accurately last time round.. ..might even get another couple of links in before the cut-off date then, as the one thing I am fairly confident about is that it is not a 3 month old reading any more, I thinks it is more like 3 weeks old these days.
Having said that I noticed penalties last weekend - that I now believe I actually was hit with about a month ago - as at that point my visitors numbers stopped going up and stayed almost exactly steady to this day - I am pretty sure I was penalised a month back and then the pr only updated last weekend (to 0 ) If I was doing anything wrong then fair enough.. :/
Which proves what a crock of shit this PR really is. Yesterday, he was a mightly PR 7, one of the most important websites around. Today, he's a lowly 4. The best part is, nothing changed about his website. It's not worse today then it was yesterday. PR is a false metric.
I see...thought there was some confusion in the post, and my thought was that it seemed to contradict the reality, and wanted to be sure newbs understand there is a distinct difference.. Peace! It is a false metric isn't it?? That is what so many miss.......The PR one can see or check is old data that is not the current reality. I tell people to get the hell off the computer go venture in their village town suburban enclave city and see how many businesses are operating very nicely making $$$$$ and nobody gives a damn about a green ingot on a toolbar which represents data 90+ days old... However I do like that all these people do obsess over it and waste their time which makes it easier for me to wipe them off the front page of Google.
Yeah I agree... there is going to be a pr update soon as they shut off showing the actual current pr before an update.... *fingers crossed* Anyway, some results are still being shown... so most probably "It has begun"
Alot of people on many forums have been predicting this week to be an update week. Monday, Thursday or Friday. So Monday come and gone here's hoping it's tomorrow or Friday. Good Luck to those who have worked hard for the next update!
