Buying domain / hosting separate

    Is there a benefit to buying a domain from the same place you buy your hosting, or is it exactly the same to buy it at GoDaddy?

    There is no benefit, and it's usually best to keep them separate (i.e. GoDaddy is ok for domains - hosting, not so much).

    Agreed. I would split companies....

    GoDaddy/Dynadot for Domain and Host Gator for hosting ;)
