Revenue Sharing does work... but does not pay, LOL

    One of the intriguing features I found after joining DP is the top right Adsense banner stating that this is an ad revenue sharing forum so I decide to give it a go [IMG]

    After a few days my AdSense for this channel is:

    impressions= 23
    clicks= 0
    CTR= 0
    eCPM= 0,13 US$
    earnings= US$0,00

    I can't complain because I did not come accross for revenue sharing but thought to share this earning hole with you [IMG]

    I read about this in another post and the consensus was that it's something that really doesn't take any effort to set up so you might as well do it but you really won't make any money off it. For almost no work, though, you'll get a few extra cents here and there. And if you're a very active forum participant, it could potentially make you a few bucks here and there but don't plan on getting rich off it.

    I used to see some earnings from CPM ads, but that is drying up faster then the US economy...

    Yes the earning is more likely a personal satisfaction being a forum member rathern than a real money conversion [IMG]

    You only earn money for threads you start and which have a lot of impressions.

    You won't be able to buy more than a postage stamp of two from DP earnings.

    :D

    How many times you click on adsense ads of other threads? ... not many times right? same goes with other users too.

    Simply, in any forum not many click on ads as they are engaged in a discussion or they want to learn something or replying to someone's question to help. And almost everyone here knows about adsense ads so no one clicks on them unless the ad has something really new stuff or some new SEO technic.

    Same here... just impressions and no clicks and no earnings. :(
    As the previous poster mentioned, just consider it as an incentives for being in this wonderful forum. :)

    This is not the same issue.....Revenue sharing does not require any ads to be clicked.

    The channel ID is a 10 digit number (in mine anyway). Create the channel in Adsense, if you have not done so, and you should get the 10 digit channel ID as well.

    This is good because you see most of us are scared to click on our ads and be penalized for fraudulent clicks but in an ad revenue sharing forum it is hard to know when your ad is the one displayed [IMG]

    This has been widely reported several times by many DP users. Anything from a few impressions to a few cents. Even with those who have posted useful and informative posts seem to experiece the same thing. Although nice about revenue sharing but not all to highly profitable

    yeh, you don't get very many click on your rev sharing ads on the forums. forums usually have low CTR and webmaster forums get even lower
