Any ideas how I can use a sports related domain that has PR4 for homepage? Site is DMOZ listed.

Directory? (I think there are zillion directories out there? and also how to make revenue out of directory?)
Paid Blogs? (are there any demand to blog sports related stuff?)
Forums? (I think its very hard to build successful forums)

I am down to above 3 options... please sugges which one do you think is best, also any other?

    Thanks!

The first thing I would personally consider is what is the site listed in DMOZ for? Do that. (Even if it's neither of the three you posted).

If the site changes dramatically it may get removed, and then lose a lot of it's value, as it can be difficult to get sites into DMOZ again, especially if they've been removed once.

I guess I want to put something out there and see how it goes...

It is listed for some specific sports cat, but any thing related to sports should be fine...

    thanks!

A forum is tough. So, I'd start with something else and add that later once you have a niche and an audience stream. I have a sports med site and it's been a gradual build but it's picked up steam lately.

PR worthless? I can tell you PR is not worthless. It's one of the most valuable tools in promotion across all media.

I would make blog and make sure it is related to what the links are for. After a few posts you can write about anything related to it.

Do a mix of a blog and informative stuff on the sport. Sell stuff linking to blog or put up affiliate links as well. Or youtube videos showing different sports or there is a tv station in Los Angeles called myfoxtv.com I believe that high school students show hi lights of their sports at their local hi school. They provide commentary and video. If you find things like that you can hook it up to your site as well.

Well I sold a domain with high PR5,6 before for a few hundreds before compared to its initial value of 10Dollar. I think you must be mistaken worthless for priceless..
