Direct Linking, Adwords Ads disapproved because of Popups

    Hi,

I setup a few campaigns doing direct linking just to test the conversions before wasting my time on building landing pages but my ads got disapproved because of popups. I'm targetting US traffic and I don't see popups on the offer, not sure why my ads were disapproved. How do I avoid this?

Anyone here did direct linking before?

Also, depending on the network, some have popups on all the offers with crap like zip submits or dating links. It's annoying.

webgenesis, are you saying that your method of direct linking (php redirect) still works on adwords, even with their new policies?
    appreciate your advice, thanks.

Thanks, do you know where I can find the new policies?

The only thing I know is that, the display url must match the final landing page url. But I didn't know that we can't use direct linking method. How do Google know whether the website belongs to us or not?

Talking about popups, I think it might be due to adwords bot visiting the page from another ip address ( i just checked and it's an ip from Ireland) maybe when the bot hits the site, it went to a geotargeting page and some popups appeared.
