Not popular at all pending deletion... how to get it?

Hi, i have a question about a .com pending deletion. Its a domain registered at godaddy.com and its a friend's first and last name .com so its not a popular domain name at all..

The thing is, he registered that domain with his ex-girlfriend in her account and now they are not together and the domain is expiring. He doesnt want to ask her to renew it and transfer it to his account so he wants to wait for the domain to expire so he can register it..

The domain expired on April 10th 2008 and is pending renewal or deletion.. When will it be ready to register again?

i believe it takes upto 3months to regrab it if you fully let it expire

 

Is there a way to grab it before it fully expires?

yes, you can call godaddy and they will do that for you but they charge like $90.... I did that for one of my domains last month because i knew if expired someone would grab it... if the domain is not that popular just let it drop and register it again

By the time GD releases it and ICANN holds it before releasing it
back into the pool it's 72 days..

 

go to www.tdnam.com, there are good chances your domain is listed there right now. Let me know how this works out.

 

Why not try backorder. Just incase someone snaps it up. If it has any traffic that is.
