OK, on guns. I'll take a look. But this is one issue, and I will have to reserve comment on this issue until I investigate your Fox story. However, you said:

You must have something concrete in mind, since "every issue" is a pretty strong statement?

You've also said, in so many words, that Obama doesn't win the primaries, he wins the caucuses. Obama has won more than Clinton, 14 to her 13 - how does this square with your statement, that primaries are "Clinton and not Obama land?"

    2 things.

    1. The Dem rules are what they are. Candidate with the most delegates wins. Regardless of Hillary winning popular votes in large states, most of those voters would probably vote for Obama in a general election and vice versa.

    2. Will. So what. All these people are politicians. I seem to recall that McCain was against Bush tax cuts and quite emphatic on that issue in the earlier part of the decade. Now he is for them. Its sort of a Kerryesque scenario; he was against the tax cuts before he was for them.

I don't really have a dog in this fight, so I'm not terribly motivated to go back and find what I've read over the last few months.

You can start with the issue I listed, or you can just ignore it and believe what you want to believe. It's really not going to make a difference in the long run either way.

After this fight is over, we move on to the general election. I don't really have a dog in that fight either.

Hell, I may just move out of the country until this nightmare is over.

Will, I am glad to investigate anything, as you know, or should know.

Obama has received dozens of pages of smears on the forum; surely you would expect me to respond to the things you wrote, requiring evidence? If there is something there, I am glad to look into and deal with it, but will not simply let a thing pass that isn't substantiated.

Obama connection to the Weather Underground and former Weather Underground members William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn is a disgrace. The terrorist group was responsible for over 25 bombings. Willam Ayers is a friend and supporter of Obama. Ayers kicked off Obama's 2005 state senate campaign. Ayers told the New York Times in 2001: "I don’t regret setting bombs; I feel we didn’t do enough"

How is Barack currently "explaining" the $300k "discount" that was arranged on his house?

Yes, Bogart, many of us saw the PA debate as well, in which Hillary attempted this one. After your dozens of pages of smears, kinda funny you only pull this one out now - after the PA debate. Have you now dropped Debbie Schlussel as your "news" source, and are now grabbing from Clinton's campaign?

    http://blog.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/02/obamas_weatherman_connection.html

Will, what are you talking about?

And why won't you deal with the fact you stated Obama "takes two positions on every issue," but haven't discussed further? That "Obama doesn't win primaries, Clinton does," but Obama has won more primaries than Clinton?

I really am sorry to say this - but the kind of tactics used on this forum with respect to the man's candidacy has the whiff of "losing team bitterness." The Bush presidency is soon to be over, and America has rejected it. Probably time to accept this.

I am not against Hilary, but why would Americans vote for another Clinton? Are they the only ones who know how to run a country like the US?

If I were American, I would try a different flavor. No matter if she's another person, Hilary will always have that tint of Bill's she can't afford to wipe out in the political canvass.

I think that for many people, the problem isn't that Hillary has the "taint of Bill," but that she does quite fine on her own swimming in the gutter. Among the strange species called politician, the Clintons, and perhaps Hillary more than Bill, are truly political animals. I honestly don't think Hillary cares whether she destroys the Democratic party, or does damage to the country - if she loses, as she is now - she will do what she can to drag everything down with her.

hillary started as a shoe in for the nomination. had the most money and the most support. she has managed to destroy all that lead. this is something we can all see and judge. she has failed to build on her head start and has actually been very ineffective.we can expect the same from her as a nominee and president.
there is no reason for her to be in this race.

This must not have been covered on DailyKoz. :p

    Just Google for "Obama 300k."

Tony Rezko "arranged" for Obama to be able to buy his mansion for 300k less than what it was worth.

Tony did this by buying the other half of the property, a vacant lot, under his wifes name.

    It's a classic three-way bribe.

When I read about this, my respect level for Obama went way up. I figured he was was less stupid than I had previously thought. More criminal, but less stupid. I'd rather have a criminal in the Oval Office than a moron.

Obama's campaign seems to differ with me on that issue. Obama now says that he was "boneheaded."

So, do we believe that Barack Obama is the living incarnation of Forest Gump or do we believe that he is just another crooked Chicago politician?

    Neither option is encouraging.

Hmm....guess my google differs from your google, since page 1 seems to deal for the most part with slimeball tactics on Obama and/or his wife:

I am aware of the Rezko non-issue. Just thought you had something real, Will, since from what I can tell, Obama paid above appraised value for a portion of the adjoining strip next to his existing home, and the only issue was that he did a real estate deal - for this personal home - with a guy with some mounting baggage. Obama's been under federal and press scrutiny since the story broke, and it's a non-issue (kinda like the dozens of others attempted, in these very parts); but perhaps you have something no one else does. Did you have proof of a bribe?

While we're here, no comments on the fact that you said "Primaries are Clinton land," yet Obama has won more primaries than Clinton?

Regarding bailing from the U.S. because the tide has turned, c'mon, Will - many of us have endured the failed presidency of the last 8 years, and the water's not that stanky - plenty of room!:D

Obama accepted a $300k "discount" on his home in return for "undisclosed favors" and you characterize that as "a real estate deal"?

Stop posting now. Stop posting right now until you have taken a walk in actual fresh air and given yourself a few moments of peaceful reflection on what you are saying and the behavior you are defending.

If you were an elected public official, would you accept a $300k discount on your home purchase from a guy like Tony Rezko? Would you want that on your conscience?

I don't think so. I think that you are a better guy than that. Therefore, your defense of that sort of behavior on the part of other people appears somewhat surprising.

Will, I don't know what you are talking about. The only "deal" I know of is to buy a small strip of land from Rezko, adjacent to the already existing Obama home. This strip was purchased at above-appraisal. The problem was that Rezko was already under investigation when Obama bought it. I don't know of any under-market purchase scheme for the Obama home. If you have info, I'm open to investigate it.

Beyond this - are you sure you want to be talking about your presumption of Obama's lack of ethics, while giving a pass to the last 8 years of this administration behind us?

The rest of the stuff, sorry, I won't dignify, Will. I am quite clearheaded, and I am not playing games.

I will ask again - you early on indicated Obama, "the insider," doesn't win primaries, Clinton does. Yet he's won more primaries than Clinton. Why don't you acknowledge the error?

Actually, "first thing we do, Let's kill all the lawyers...Quick - which history play? Bard buffs, Henry VI, Act IV, Sc. 2...having played Suffolk, as well as both Hal and Hotspur, I love the cycle; blood in the teeth stuff..indulge me; Suffolk's farewell is tops:

Anyway, as a guy who worked for lawyers, I understand Dick's line. You do know why he says this, right?

MSNBC just called PA for Clinton. Sad. This means she will stick around until June 3 probably. Just go away Hillary!
