There are also blogs with the CommentLuv plugin which is pretty neat. It features a link back to the last comment you posted. It's also a good idea to comment on the most recent post because I'm not sure if older posts still get spidered for the backlink to be effective. Does anyone have any insight to this matter? Would googlebot for example go back to an older post if new comments are still being written to it?
To pick up on the post above, the comment luv app is great but again is usually nofollow. The posts that are older maynot be spidered as much they are the ones that might build PR because it might just be a great post on a regular blog.
Farhajr, Sure. Which part you do not understand? a. How to leave a comment that no one will bear to delete it? b. how to use the blog commenting tool? Just let me know.
Talking about CommentLuv, for those who has downloaded the free blog commenting tool, you can try this: Hope this helps. .
Look, if you don't want to get your comment deleted, just read the post, and say something about the topic. Expand on what the blogger said, or ask a question.
I have several do-follow blogs and I can tell you the number one reason that something will get deleted is spammyness. If someone posts something with more than one or maybe two links in the body of the comment and the comment is just something like "like your site" or "cool post" it gets deleted. Comments left with a ton of links and done more than a few times gets an ip ban. If you make a comment on the post and relate it and maybe throw a few keywords relevant to the site you are commenting in there and keep the number of links down you will be less likely to have the comment deleted. You may also want to get a few people you know in your field/industry/niche/whatever you market and do kind of a blog chain comment thing. Where you go on each others sites that are do follow and make a few comments. You decide ahead of time what is and is not ok. That way you are not only getting benefit of the links but also related traffic.
Great tip. Especially since keywords as anchor text and site relevance are more important than a follow or nofollow, working within your niche would likely produce much better results. I have a standard policy of deleting all posts with an .ru or .cn backlink. Nothing personal. I just find the comments to generally be of little value. Poor grammar/spelling, or a lack of any signs of coherent human thought gets deleted straight away. Thanks for the link to Fast Blog Finder, Puzzle. Another useful tool is Comment Kahuna, also free.
Ha ha, farhajr you might want to pm me with your questions. Not sure what you want to know, I try to answer on the part how to avoid your comment being deleted: 1. Compliment Compliment the author and the paragraph where you find it is most useful to you. Says you visit the "dog training" blog, you can leave a comment like "after reading your paragraph xxx, then i realise I have made the mistake for........ thanks for sharing this info.... now i have use your method successfuly, read my post (insert your URL)" 2. Ask question/Ask for help You can leave a comment by asking question. Example: "after i read your tips on how to train the dog, but i still do not understand the part how you train the dog to eat vegetable, i tried to do this too (insert your URL) but it fails..." e.g "I enjoy reading your post on dog training, but you see, i have this problem (insert your URL), you think your method will work on my problem?.." 3. Challenge the author The reverse way of keeping a comment alive is to challenge the blog owner, for example "I do not believe you can train the dog to eat vegetable, can you show me more proof? But I have able to make my dog dance (insert your URL). what do you think?" I hope this helps to answer your question. Regarding the blog commenting tool i recommend, there is a video tutorial in my download site, have you watch it? Let me know if you need more help. Puzzle .
CaffeinePhil, can you explain the wordpress backlink process in greater detail? I have heard about this strategy several times but am still yet to get a definitive explanation on how it works and how it could be done. As for nestrer claiming that dofollow blogs are useless, well I disagree and I think others on this thread do as well. The best strategy is find a blog that is in your niche and has already been commented on previously. Others mentioned this point and unique content, that's important too. Some bloggers love comments, some refuse to have them. Unfortunately there is no way to tell, but you should install the SEO for firefox add-on which highlights the no-follow links in red so you don't have to waste your time trying to see whether or not a previous comment is either nofollow or dofollow.
It is possible your site is on the askimet list in which case your comments go directly to the spam folder. This would explain such a low approval rate if your comments are on topic.
thanks A ZILLION TIMES FOR THAT INFO PUZZLE !!! Don't mind can you tell me some more suggestions like that you gave above! PM me if you can!!
Paul Teitelman - PM'd you mate. farhajr - your comment went straight into moderataion and wasn't picked up my the askimet filter.
Thats right, so it looks as though the other blogs are either using a different filter or are manually not approving your comments.
I don't think so. If the links is coming from high pr page and it is related to our blog niche? You would say it is not quality either? It is totally wrong concept. DoFollow backlinks gives value but spamming with irrelevant comments can get you banned for link farming.
