I was just wondering if it is possible, that Google employees send you an email that they would like to buy some links on your website?

I thought maybe they would do that to get you and ban you. Is it possible?

    Any suggestion?

Sure they could. But its seems like a hard way to collect data. They prefer to get webmasters (stool pigeons) to rat each other out. That way they can build an algo to stop it, rather than rely on a huge army of people who would need to get paid.

I really doubt it.. link selling is not a crime (even though it would be funny for them to have a team of undercover paid link detectives) :D
I think they rely on the report paid links feature and no nofollow links to irrelevant sites.

I don't think paid links is crime ... they are not against it till and until they are bought just to get some link juice ... if you pass juice + relevant traffic its ok to sell links ;)

If a Googler bribes you, then they're guilty of aiding and abetting.

    It could not be possible,
As Google itself break it's rules by doing so...
    Never happen...

Google bot goes to your site, automatically fills out your contact form with bogus message, and they tag all the site owners that respond saying yes. Very easy for them to do it. I'm pretty sure they have a link to most websites on the web:)

I honestly don't think they would either, but it is as easy as I mentioned above. I can't believe the stooped to having webmasters ratting out each other. I wouldn't do that, even to a rat. PR was a Google marketing tool that did not have the foresight to see webmasters manipulating it. Sooner or later, visible PR will be a thing of the past.
