I think IE8 will win, because of popularity and the fact that IE installs automatically with Windows.
So does FF, FF is starting to give IE a bad name. Also, Linux and Mac users don't use IE and there more and more of them all the time. There was a small increase in people using IE7 for March, however there is a greater increase for FF. The increase for IE could be explained by considering the amount of people that have left EI6 and maybe upgraded. check it out here http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp I used to be IE's personal bitch. Every once in a while I'll use IE, however it's the same as it's always been, just a little faster and just as stripped. FF is also a great help to developers, which I am. So viewing source is much better with syntax highlighting.
Thats news to me, I just played this flash game, on FF: http://www.flashgames247.com/play/868.html Plus I get those annoying flash banner ads, so yes, I can use flash. Maybe your thinking of an older version.
firefox will win ie is copying there ideas to be on top again and that wont do liek tab browsing and the inbuilt feature of google, yahoo and other search engine bar these all are copied from firefox and put in ie so how can ie win if they are not original also firefox works better and its download manger is far better than ie
Winning, in this context, is to do with marketing. Nothing to do with originality. If MS can use its huge store of funds to market well, combined with its dominant position, then it could easily win.
Yeah, flash is alive and well in the FF....maybe he was thinking active-X? However, one thing I did notice...(just reinstalled my XP) FF did not install flash based on the "click here to DL missing plug-in"...had to manually install it and once it did it was fine. I kept getting an error doing the on the fly install.
yeah... right... if you look at ie8's features, you'll see some new, unimplemented ones in other browsers. but you don't know that, because you didn't even tried ie
i just hope ie eventually catches up to ff in terms of ability to make a good web design, i'm gettin real sick of having to sacrifice functionality in a template because ie can support it correctly
