I hope someone can help me with this. I have a php link bidding/pixel script that works fine. I have even had to people buy and place links. However I can not access the administrative area. I can log in, but soon as I click something, I am taking right back to the log in page. My hosting suggested a cookie error, but this is the only php script I have this problem with, plus I have cookies enabled . My other script guy said it could be a bad script. The script writer said I did not upload the script right, but there is really only one way to upload files. I think it is a database issue. Has anyone else had this problem before? Thanks for your time?
It sounds like a cookie/session error. For instance, if the programmer forgot to place a: session_start(); PHP: at the top of the admin pages, then when you click somewhere it will basically not find the "logged in" session and boot you out. It sounds like a bad script. What script is this if I may ask?
yeah I tried the session start code, but that did not work either. The name of the script is linkads1. I would delete the script and install a different one, but I can't find another one similar to this. Thanks
I went to the script buyer's site and clicked on the demo site, and everything works just like mine. And in red it says "some buttons disabled for demo". So now I am wondering if I was sent the demo script with the buttons disabled. Does anyone know what I should look for to enable the buttons?
Check to make sure you dont have to upload a file in binary! If that is what the programmer is saying, try that first... if he encoded one of the files, and it wasnt uploaded properly, it will not work... otherwise make sure the username and password are correct.
I'm having the same problem. But with me it's all my PHP scripts on my domain. They all work fine and then suddenly I can't login the backend or frontend..it just basically refreshes the screen. I contacted my host the first time it happened and they fixed it...they said it was some sort of cache overload, and they supposedly changed some setting and it "would be fine". Well it happened a second time and i've yet to get an answer from them. I'm positive it's not a bad script or script problems..I'm convinced it some sort of server issue. Have you found anything out?
Did they configure the sessionstemp folder with the correct permissions? You may want to check with your host.
I have tried everything, I had my script guy look at it and he said he could not fix it. The login file is encoded so you can not change any anything. This script also requires a "private code" as well, to make it work, and he thinks the code that was sent to me is wrong. I purchased 2 scripts from this company and they other one is missing a file and they want send it to me, unless I give them $30.00 per site, plus complete hosting access, and I told them to forget about. I have 5 other scripts installed, all on the same server, and no other problems, so I am sure it is The scripts. Thanks for all your help everyone, I am just going to find someone who can build me a "copy" SITE THAT WORKS P.S This company took a big loss though because I was going to buy more of their scripts and pay extra for the resell rights
