Using PPC to Increase RSS Subscribers - What do you think?

I'm starting a new blog and I would like to quickly increase my RSS subscriber count.

I'm thinking of creating a landing page with a Feedburner RSS e-mail subscription form and promote that landing page via PPC.

What do you all think, will this work? Is there any pitfalls I'm overlooking?

What you need is a great landing page to get people to subscribe. If you're really smart you'd try and get people to email subscribe. Then you get even more long term benefits.
