what's wrong with DigitalPoint?

Let's talk about what REALLY SUCKS about this forum. Here's what I think stinks about DigitalPoint:

1. massive censorship by admins
2. nazi-like atmosphere of repression
3. can't post in certain categories without specific number of posts

Notice this trend; when a forum starts out, anything goes. As it gets more popular, the nazi-like repression creeps in and pretty soon almost everything you say is against the TOS.

Everyone is encouraged to conform straight as a turd or get banned forever.

Any other complaints about digitalpoint? Seems like it sucks, any alternatives?

 

4. People who can't find the right sub-forum to post in.

The mods weed out spam. The reason for not being able to post in certain parts is to stop fly-by-nights doing dodgy deals and taking money.
And I do get annoyed when people talk about the nazis because a post on an internet forum got deleted - nobody killed your family, get some perspective.

 

Nothing is wrong with DP, it rocks.

 

How can you tell what sucks when you have only been here 2 months.

To answer your question, the mods have to be tough to keep dp relevent or else people like you who post a subject like this in marketing would abound - this post should be in general chat

 

mods are doing a great job , otherwise this forum would be full of spam, the larger the forum the more spamers&scamers.

 

*shrugs shoulders* I don't have any complaints. I haven't seen any of it, other than spam, and, BS threads on trying to rip people off.

Really? Never saw it. Just a couple of morons everynow and then acting like turds, and that's it.

Sure! Mods should offer us candys and lollipops everyday, and Shawn should beg us to stay in here at least tree times a week! And Nino, yeah the sexual power machine who came from the f-f-f-f-f-f-uture, he should start a regular thread about is sexual love life writing a post everyday morning.

- stay as a guest

I guess venting your rage AND THEN leaving will make things better for everyone.

You could've just skipped this step and gone away - not dwelling on things generally makes you happier.

 

sure, the mods can be donkeys sometimes.. but if you read the rules and follow them you won't have any problems! When it comes to the quality of DP, now that's another story! You won't learn any true big secrets here that will buy you a new car (at least not an expensive one), but you might get some help to set up your crappy wordpress blog.

 

The only one bad things is that when you got banned or received an infractions mistaking by admin or mod , you have no way to appeal

 

This is one of the best things of DP

 

every thing has it's negative part and DP has too obviously and they are as stated above and I think they should do it as soon as possible.

 

I think it sucks how some people feel they have a sense of entitlement for just being on the internet or on a public forum.

 

Agreed, DP has that rule for good reasons. If they had the Buy, Sell, or Trade section open to the general people who just registered, there would literally be 1,000 scams a day...

14 days and 25+ posts is a good rule, I'm willing to wait. I've only been here 3 days

you know he tried to start a thread which would go famous with lots of replies and that is exactly what is happening. All of us are replying to this thread even though all of us love DP.

All he did was talked negative so that his thread goes famous. I am sure he is using the adsense revenue sharing feature..!!

I'm so new to the forum that I did not realize about this fact so...

I suggest stop banning people and send them to a coming soon Forum Concentration Camp!

 

Once you are able to post in certain areas you will be wishing that they had made even more restrictions due to all the tards that frequent them.

I don't know about this..DP so far is the most member-friendly forum and you can't seldom see admins and moderators here but spammers has no place..means members are highly educated...

The only negative thing I noticed so far is server problem sometimes..

 

"nazi like repression" ... That's a bit melodramatic.

They hold a service for us so that we can discuss all things important about the internet and how to make money from it and in return they got money from us, the traffic. If anything, they're allowed to moderate the site so that douche bags such as yourself don't place threads in the wrong forum or flame/spam the place.
