Is there really any benefit in numerous links to internal pages at the bottom of each page, using keywords as the anchor text, and several going to the same internal pages? Example: http://tiny.cc/GJp7B (not mine!)
yes internal linking using keywords important, but too much is not always good. it will be better if you use distinct keyword on distinct page
Yes. Internal linking is important, I do not think that multiple links to the same page does much at all anymore. Eric
I believe internal linking is quite important, and yes, you should definitely point internal links to your most important sub-pages. You should be using the anchor text to target good keywords for which you want that page to rank.
The more inbound links to an internal web page with different keywords on the same web page dilutes that web page's value to push out any SEO weight for that phrase. You would be better off having one different link on each web page then multiple links on a single web page.
this site is overdoing the internal linking. if you need to link to all those pages, then best way to do would be deviding them up into categories and just link to the category pages from your homepage. then you can do a sitemap where all the links will be displayed and you can link to the sitemap from your homepage as well
