Duplicate Content Penalization - How Long?

    Hi

    I just wanted to ask a question about the duplicate content penalization thing.My website got penalized and was thrown out of the index after being ranked at 200 for a keyword.I changed the content and it was re-cached again about 1 and a half days ago.How long would it take for the site to show in the serps again if the penalization is removed?

    Thanks

    It will take time about 15 days to 3 month, IMO

    Write original content and you will be out of penalty after 20 to 40 days

    can't say anything it depend on your writing skill if your content have good quality and proper density of the keywords and make sure it should be unique as well then you can get back with in a month but make sure good quality back links will very helpful on that condition

    You have to add more unique content regularly at steady place. You should find links to your content page to make your content more important and prevent from being penalized if someone copied your site content.

    As a rule, a month will be enough on condition that Your present content is really unique. Actually, it's not reasonable to use smb. else's content - You run risks.

    I think older more established domains see less of a penalty and probably quicker recovery. I mean look at social bookmarking sites obviously they get no penalty for duplicate content.

    to avoid future trouble about duplicate content here are some tips:

    Tips To Ensure You Avoid Duplicated Content

    * Put a copyright notice on the bottom of the page and warn that you check for duplicated content.
    * If you have multiple domains that point to the same site content take advantage of permanent redirection. (301 status report) This informs the spider of the redirection so they understand you are not putting up duplicate content.
    * When you have an article to get republished on other sites send them in a text format. (Articles are a great way to quality incoming links by the way!) This ensures that when the article is republished it will be reformatted and viewed by the search spiders as original.

    Rather than just sit on your duff waiting for the site to be reindexed once the duplicated content was removed, why not just submit a reinclusion request? Just explain that you were trying to syndicate some content that you thought your users would find useful, noticed that your site was de-listed, and have since removed the offending content.

    Chances are though, if the entire site was banned, that it may not have been due to duplicate content, and if that's the case, they'll probably tell you why the site was banned and what you need to do in order to have the site re-listed.

    how old is the site? if it's a relatively new site - under 3 months - you can expect large movements in and out of the SERPS for some time to come.

    duplicate content is a factor, but it's not an end all, be all. look at all the newspaper sites which publish duplicated wire content. they get no penalty do they?

    Does it mean if your niche is all about bags then you should be writing all about bags otherwise google will take you out from the top ten if you write something else? ;(

    @Bass Creek;

    No. You can write about several things, no problem. It simply means that you should write original content. There are lots of sites that rank well that cover a wide variety of topics.

    Best;

    There is nothing like Duplicate Content Penalization .

    If you are writing the same topic then you face competition from those who wrote before you . Their content is much older and have backlinks so you rank below .

    Gain Backlinks and everything is gonna be fine .

    * Sites get banned for loading copied content .
