Google often gives PageRank to pages that people aren't really paying much attention to. Probably Google's way of saying we shouldn't get too carried away with "link building".
one of my blog is having 3 PR, with only 1 back links, that is also from it's internal rss feed back link. I have not work on it.
Yes Google gives pagerank to sites without backlinks. As long as your site is indexed your site will have the chances to get a RageRank rate.
Sites never have a 0, but rather 0. something It is possible that a site can get a PR without much links
It's possible that a site can have PR without any links. 301 another url with pagerank - an invisible link social bookmarking links from places like pligg that 301 urls - another invisible link fake pagerank google mistake
Actually the links to the old URL are passed to the newly redirected URL...it's only invisible to you....... Snowbird mistake
I believe that is correct. Now whether internal linking alone could earn a PR3 for the home page, that's an unresolved question mark in my mind.
No it is not possible, because the site would have to have a link pointing to it from an external source that had PageRank, in order to give the site PageRank that the site's internal pages could pass on to the other site pages. Also the OP forgot to look on Yahoo and once he did he found the very few links pointing to his site that were not displayed within Google. Its like building a gasoline powered car, and expecting it to run without adding gasoline........if something doesn't add gas, the car will sit idle.....
No that is impossible....... Write Google and tell them your theory....... Otherwise this is how it works.... and your experience is nothing more than inexperience......... PageRank Explained PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at considerably more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page receives; for example, it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves "important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important." Using these and other factors, Google provides its views on pages' relative importance. http://www.google.com/technology/ Since no new pages have PageRank, till a page with PageRank links to the page, it is impossible for a new site to pass PageRank. Please stop posting inaccurate statements as there are many new people who read these threads and posting statements without fact or merit only add to peoples confusion.
I don't think internal linking can give much of a pr boost. perhaps the most is PR1. To gain PR, OTHER sites have to link to you
