.in or .com?

Hi there,

I am planing a new site about the Indian Premier League (cricket league in India) So I am searching for a good domain name, the question is should I go with a dotcom domain or dotin. I mean, it's about the Indian Premier League, therefore I should expect a lot of Indian traffic, or should I go more on dotcom as there should come also traffic from other countries in the world?

both but first .in because is very and only related to... Indian Premier League (cricket league in India) , you also can buy the .com version ...to avoid someone make a site similar using the .com extension, if you choose the .com first buy the .in too for the same reason...

Buy the .IN and the .COM if you can... then develop the .in and forward the .com to the .in.

Well, it is all up to you. If you want to target Indian traffic then it s better to go with .in domain name but if you will like to target traffic from all over world then it is good to go with .com. More over i think you know .in is mainly for india and .com is used as most common domain extension which is also the most easiest to remember. So you decide which one you should go with.

 

if u wanna attract indian crowd then .in is cool but spend a little more and get both

Even I faced this confusion some months back and at the end, I purchased .com. People find it easy to remember though there's no seo advantage to it.

 

.in would be better, because it'll get better results in Google India which you're targetting.

 

.in would be a more better choice than a dotcom.
I agree with most of the people above. Try to buy both. Build your site on the .in, and forward the .com (just in case)

I would say .com only because when people think of a website name the first thing most people think that it ends in .com
