as i said before, the best way to boycott adsense is to click on their ad. No not on those site where you hate the webmaster. I mean those ad that they show at the top or side of the google search engine. Click them (if any at all interests you while you are using the search engine), lower their conversion rate, let them smart price themselves if ever. Sure they don't smart price themselves but it will inflate the click value in the long run because the traffic don't convert well while cpc is high. Make advertiser think the search engine network is as worse as the content network xD.

What would we benefit from supporting in such a blackout. I don't think, Google will do anything about this. There are so many publishers, out there. It makes no difference.

    People...
bestserviceforyou is a very smart guy he found the best topic to get you all involved, now watch how much money he / she will make out of this thread.
Nice job, I have a lot of respect for poeple with ideas like this.

I once was mad at goole myself because my adsense was removed because of invalid clicks. I did everything i could to pay google back for what they did to me creat pages, threads and so and so but after that i learnt that I was the one wrong and not google, so I started to work with google and not against it, that's one I learnt that "in life we don't chose between good and bad, we chose between bad and worse"

    Peace

what kind of proposition is this?? Google has done so much for us from finding the advertiser to us to sorting the best relevant ads to show on our sites.

Besides, it is the "other" webmasters who get the blow i.e. they have to pay more for their ads JUST to get your earning. So my only suggestion for u is to get higher targetted visitors which in turn help the "other" wembaster to earn money too!

If you really think you're getting a bad deal from google do this. Contact the advertisers that you see putting ads through adsense on your site, and negotiate better rates for your self directly with them.
If your site is really worth the money in terms of traffic, it's demographic and it's conversion rate, they'll be happy to business with you.
and yycc - I'm an advertiser - do you think you achieve anything by stealing money from me, other than showing yourelf up as a sneaky thief, no better than a shoplifter?

In my opinion it's not going to work. Personally I wouldn't bother to remove the code on 30.04.2008. I have better things to do :) The number of the AdSense Publishers is too high. They should stop accepting new publishers or the prices are going down.

I know what you are trying to achieve, you are trying to get ppl banned. According to the new ToS that everyone has to agree by May something, contacting adword advertisers on your site directly is prohibited.

If advertisers like to believe that the search engine network has better conversion, then it doesn't hurt whatever i do. Why do u have to worry.

But if in the long run, clicks from the search engine network does not result as many conversion as expected, then maybe less advertiser will bid high, meaning cpc will drop and there you get to bid lower. I am actually proposing of doing you a favor.

What do i achieve? less money to google in the long run, remember that is the whole point of this topic?

Get the message across? Hurt google's earning to let them feel what publishers are feeling?

You and the other guy's reaction to my "plan" is exactly what will happen, you think your money is going to waste, what will u do? you pull back your campaign, put your advertising budget elsewhere. Then the goal is achieved. Simple as that. This works 100x better than an planned 1 day only adsense blackout.

First you don't have to hurt your own earning. Second, it's not a one day thing, it's ongoing. Third, you don't need everybody to act together. It's so much better.

i am just thinking out loud, i don't feel like clicking on those ad on search engine really, they are all crappy. seriously.

it's just my theory to a more effective way to get the message across than a merely 1 day blackout. I am not telling anyone to do as my theory, just sharing my idea. k?

Yes please do not display Adsense ads on April 30th 2008 and while you're at it never run them again.

By doing so my earnings will increase as the less competition the more I earn....

Please join the ban and make it permanent too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I know what you are trying to achieve, you are trying to get ppl banned. According to the new ToS that everyone has to agree by May something, contacting adword advertisers on your site directly is prohibited.

Of course I'm not trying to get people banned, I didn't know that was in the ToS, because I didn't really expect anyone to be daft enough as to try doing it - the point is that you won't get a range of ads on your own with no network like google to help you, and apart from a handful of 'superstar' blogs, very few site owners have the negotiating power to get advertising deals on the scale that google offers on their own.

But if in the long run, clicks from the search engine network does not result as many conversion as expected, then maybe less advertiser will bid high, meaning cpc will drop and there you get to bid lower. I am actually proposing of doing you a favor.

You think you're doing me a favour by stealing from me? Google doesn't care what my conversion rate is, it won't drop my rates because you're clicking on my ads with no intention to buy.
Please, I'm begging you - don't do me any favours.

Ok, its not so much the money. I use adsense only a a few of my sites combined with other ad services. My biggest earner is CJ, which is better suited for most of my sites.
Its more about the way they scare people into wondering when they will be banned. They ban most people for no reason. (because they are a threat to the advertisers) I read about it here allll the time. Without everyone adsense wouldnt have a leg to stand on. Pretty soon they will ban everyone that doesnt make $1000 a day. That is the reason.
But for those that dont care dont join...But I urge us all to do this.
