I have a commerce site selling promotional products. I have noticed that my serps improve after i have added products (with good copy information). Are products considered content?
Anything that is spiderable text is considered "content" once the search engines spider and index it. If you are just slapping images up, that can be content to but much less effective since only the code text is indexed. Hope that helps Eric
No, content is contexual data not images. Products should have a detailed description about them, perhapes even a section with reviews from customers.
Yeah, but try adding related content pages if you can, it helps your rank and gives more for your viewers to look at and maybe make them trust you more instead of straight selling. I find this effective
Of course products are content. A not-to-be-underestimated content as a matter of fact. I'm not aware of any statistics but I'm pretty sure that product related searches are a reasonable amount.
