How come google doesn't count my signature in DP as backlinks?

i did:

link: mydomain.com (in my signature)

Why doesn't this show up as a backlink?

 

When you place your domain..? It may take a time...

 

Google takes some time, Yahoo is much quicker.

Google do not show all the backlinks. Use Yahoo! to check backlainks. Also, the forum page with your link needs to get indexed in first place.

 

Your signature will count as a backlink because dp is a dofollow forum, you just have to be patient.

 

That's why people sell it and make good money

 

The link-command in google has deliberately been made less useful. It is not because Google is slower than Yahoo, they have just chosen not to show the complete amount of indexed backlinks with this command.

To get a list of some more of the backlinks to your own site, register with Google webmaster tools and go watch that list of backlinks. It will be more complete.

Dont use the link operator to check you back links. Links: operator dont show more than 2% of you total back links.

I have more then 12000 back links, but link: operator only show 100 back links.

Use webmaster tolls or yahoo site explorer to check your back links.

 

It can take up to 2 weeks or longer for Google to Index your site, posts, etc.

 

It is indeed a backlink - and a very useful one.

 

It took several months for my signature to show up as backlinks. But remember just because Google doesn't show you the backlink doesn't mean they don't know it's there

 

Any certain reason why Google intents to do so? competition factor?

 

I did read somewhere that Google didn't show all backlinks in order to hide info from it's competitors.

 

check in webmaster tools, i found each and every back links towards to my website from dp sig.
