Hey, plese look at it! i can't belive it's water, but look like Painting. this pollution in TaiHu China, this spring.... My GOD! http://www.pollutionprevention.cn/
Goodness it is full of algae, meaning nitrogen etc pollutants are so much that these algae bloom in such a crazy manner. I guess the native creatures in the TaiHu would be gone simply by suffocation from these algae bloom. Even if these algae were removed, I doubt that the eco-system will survive.
Maybe they should have release some species of fish that will eat up all these algae. I guess that would be the most biologically friendly method.
yes, you are right! but when the factory bring pollution water to the lake the fish all dead. they try bring new fish to the lake while the water can't touch
They should close down the factories that are polluting first. Once the source of pollution is cleared. Some hardy fishes that eat up the algae can then be introduced. Pity but I guess they will never be able to rebuild the eco-system that was lost. Typically to clear out such mess requires years and years of work. I read that Tai Hu was one of the largest fresh water lake, goodness why China never protect such valuable resources is a wonder.
I can't believe that pea soup is actually water. China should do something drastic about pollution there.
taihu is a tourist attraction in chinese,it's beautful. I don't konow where the place in photo is,maybe it's treatment for photoshop. But I can tell you taihu is a beautful place.
well, i found a link from sohu.com about TaiHu last year, more pics http://news.sohu.com/s2007/taihuwuran/
China isn't really a country that treats cleaning up of pollution at the top of its priority. I would guess that it would be pretty easy to bribe the officials to turn a blind eye to the pollution of Tai Hu.
It looks like pea soup, this can't be healthy, is this the price to pay for a fast developing economy?
If you happens to visit Shanghai try looking at the sky line. You will know they are paying a very high price for their development.
check your bottled water you buy from your supermarket - I was astounded the other day when I was bored and actually read the back of one I had bought Imported from China lol, is there anything that isn't imported from there????
