Nice Job mcmuney! I'd correct the title of "h**s******c***.com", cuz it begins with a specific keyword not related to the homepage. And the footer links on "b**n***.com"...well, they need to be hyperlinked!
Thanks for the tip, I'll get to it. I'm wondering how you guys are finding just the 2 sites and not all 5.
I know I said that I would stop at the 5 that I have, but I have 2 great domains for travel and was wondering if I should setup the sites for them. Does anyone have travel related sites and are they profitable?
04.07.08 I thought I update you guys on what's been happening. I still have only the 5 sites and have not added the travel related ones yet. I switched 1 of my sites over to the new EPN on 04.02.08 and wanted to make sure it's working before switching the rest. I started seeing the clicks right away, but on 04.04.08, I saw my first commission, so I will be transferring over the remaining sites this or next week. I exceeded my expectation for the month of March by coming in at $841, my expectation was to be between $500-$600. All of my sites have kicked in and bring in sales. April is looking very strong so far, the first 6 days total is $240 (CJ + EPN). If this trend continues, I should easily achieve my goal of $1,000. Since I don't have much time to dedicate to each site I re-activated Adwords advertisement. I'm keeping it at a low daily budget to track progress. I hope the ROI will be high and the cost won't eat into my profits.
04.18.08 WooHoo!!! I've exceeding my target of $1,000 for the month with 14 more days to go. My revised target is now $1,500. I've been doing much of the same, relying on blogs and organic traffic from google, and turned off my PPC marketing once again. I'm not seeing any ROI. I've tried both Google, Yahoo and Adbrite with little to no success. If I do try again, it will be for a very specific search phrase.
Not at all. I started by blogging and posting on related forums. Then I thought if I used adwords, it would increase sales, but I didn't see any noticeable increase, adwords just took away profits, so I turned it off. After a few weeks, I tried it on a different site with same results. So I shut it down again. It could be that my approach is wrong. I saw another post that said they're doing well with adwords (I believe he was selling a specific software), so maybe it depends on the product and the approach. If I think of a different approach, I might give it another try down the line, especially now that I'm earning more, I can dedicate a portion to marketing.
In CJ. I have a total of 6 sites and I've only moved 2 to EPN (these two are relatively new) and plan on moving the remaining 4 this week.
