Submit sites that backlink to other SE's for link power. Wise or not?

When checking backlinks on a few sites I find its always Google that shows the most. I was wondering if anybody here has taken the sites backlinking in google then submitted those sites to yahoo, msn, ask for further backlinks on those SE's.

example: I've got 300 google backlinks. 150 yahoo backlinks. List the 150sites not backlinking in yahoo and submit those sites to yahoo. Do the same with msn and ask etc.

    Anybody done this?

Actually I don't understand your question. You want to submit sites to yahoo search engine, the sites that yahoo isn't counting for your back links ?

Most likely Yahoo has already indexed most of those other sites, so there is no need to9 submit them.

There's no point in submitting URLs to search engines because neither Google or Yahoo have any trouble finding URLs on their own.

eh? So with a new site you don't submit it to google? You wait for another site to link to you then get found that way?

Yes that is correct. Although debate continues, many SEOs feel that submitting a new site can actually hurt your rankings. A few years ago, a couple of people ran tests and as I recall the sites that were found "naturally" did better sooner.
