[GUIDE] Definite Guide to getting indexed in Google within 24 hours!

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by Proness, Apr 18, 2008.

Since a lot of people have been asking about ways to geting indexed fast, I thought of putting up this guide. Not only will these strategies help you to get indexed within 24 hours, but will also get you a good amount of traffic, and most importantly, will increase your search rankings. Please note that all of the methods below are free to use & readily available.

A) Social Bookmarking

This is one of the most easiest and effective ways of getting indexed within 24 hours. I do it everytime I launch a new site. Infact, if the competition is less, I get top-rankings for my keyword too!

1) DIGG

Submit your site to Digg.

2) STUMBLEUPON

If you haven't already, join StumbleUpon and Download their toolbar. After registering, go to the page you want to stumble, and click "I like it!" on the SU toolbar.

Also, while stumbling the URL, try adding as many tags as you can.

3) PROPELLER

Submit your URL to Propeller.

4) ONLYWIRE

OnlyWire submits your site to various social bookmarking sites like Delicious, Furl, Magnolia etc etc.

Register at OnlyWire & add your login details for the enlisted social bookmarking services.

After doing that, submit your site by visiting the following URL after editing the details.

http://www.onlywire.com/api/add?url=ENTER-URL-HERE&title=ENTER-TITLE-HERE&comments=ENTER-DESCRIPTION-HERE&tags=ENTER-KEYWORDS-HERE
Code (markup):
5) OTHER SITES:

There are plenty of other sites that you may want to use for building more backlinks. The above 4 being the most important, these ones are optional. Most of them are not exactly social bookmarking sites, but I use them nevertheless:

1) Hub Pages

2) Squidoo

3) Reddit

B) Blog & Ping

Blog & Ping is an effective method if you have new content posted on your blog. Only do this once a day MAX till your site gets indexed - overdo it, and you risk getting penalized by Google. This is mainly for Blogs only, however other website owners can use it too.

For Blogs:

Most of the blog platforms nowadays ping your blog automatically after a new post is made. However, if you use WordPress, you can update your ping-list for optimum performance.

1) Go to Options > Writing in your WP platform. Scroll down, and under "Update Services", enter the following URL's:

http://1470.net/api/ping
http://api.feedster.com/ping

Now, everytime you post a new content on your site, your site will be automatically pinged with the above servicesthus attracting hungry search engine bots!

For website owners with no RSS feed:

1) Go to PingOMatic and fill up the form. Check all "Common Services" and also "Specialized services" If you don't have an RSS feed, it doesn't matter - however its recommended that you get one.

2) Click "Send Ping" & you'll get a confirmation message from each of the services.

C) Submit your SiteMap to Google Webmaster Tools

Submitting a sitemap can facilitate indexing.

1) Download this Free Site Map Generator.

2) After installing it, enter your URL and click Start.

3) Click the Tab "Google Sitemap / XML" & save the file.

4) Go to Google Webmaster Tools, add & verify your site. Finally, add a sitemap by click "Sitemaps" in the sidebar.

D) Add your link to your DP signature.

DP is a hot site having search engine bots indexing new topics within a few minutes to a couple of hours. You can use it to your advantage.

1) Click here to edit your DP signature.

2) Add your link(s) with your desired keywords as the title. Bold and / or underline them before submitting.

3) Start contributing by posting in new & popular topics. DO NOT SPAM.

E) More Strategies:

Some extra strategies are outlined here:

a) Add other users as friends in social bookmarking sites.

This strategy is effective in the long-term. When you post a story, you can share it with your friends. The only reason we do this is because, more the friends, more your chances of getting more digg/stumbles/propels etc. Good amount of diggs give good exposure to your story, and get cached in the SE's faster.

Also, friends are added instantly in most of the sites - so no waiting is required.

TIP: There are tools out there that add friends automatically in DIGG. Try finding them on this forum! ;)

b) Use Digg/Stumble/Propel exchanges (GreyHat Method):

There are many Social Bookmark Exchanges out there that can help your story to get more exposure thus speeding up the index process. The simple funda is that, you digg/stumble/propel others, and others do it for you.

c) Pinging

i) For DIGG

Go to PingOMatic, and enter the details as follows:

i) Blog Name

The title of your website / Anything will do - doesn't make a difference.

ii) Blog Home Page

Your Digg profile page. Normally located at
digg.com/users/YOUR-USER-NAME
Code (markup):
iii) RSS URL

Your Digg profile's RSS Feed is located at:
http://digg.com/users/YOUR-USER-NAME/history.rss
Code (markup):
Don't forget to replace your username in the above URL's.

ii) For StumbleUpon

Go to your profile in SU, normally located at:

http://USERNAME.stumbleupon.com
Code (markup):
Get the URL feed of your favorites, located in the right sidebar of your blog.

Ping it following the steps above.

iii) For Propel

You can get the RSS URL by adding "/rss" after your story URL. Also, a powerful strategy is to ping your tags.

iv) Make a free Wordpress / Blogspot blog linking back to your main site:

Like the title suggests, make a blog with any of the free platforms available, submit some content and information about your site, and make it link back to you. They are pinged automatically so you don't need to worry.

***************************

Almost all of my sites are normally indexed in 20-24 hours after following the above steps. As stated above, these strategies also bring in a good chunk of traffic to your site - especially StumbleUpon. Sometimes, I've been awarded top rankings from my keywords (if the competition is less) by just following these simple steps.

If you think there's anything missing in this guide, feel free to post here.

Hope this post helps you,

Proness.

Great Post. You have almost listed out all I have known.

The general thoughts to have Google find your site is to put the link of your web site to where Google indexes everyday. So, the most popular place are those what have been talked about in above:
1. Social Bookmarking site
2. Blog&Ping
3. Some forums, such as DP.
And another great method is to publish your article, which include a link to your web site, to ezine article directory. Those original articles are what Google prefer very much, and they would like to index every hours. Right now, the most famous 2 are ezinearticles.com and Goarticles.com. Once your articles have been accpeted by them, your site will be indexed by Google in soon

Thanks for your kind words, all!

Yep. I've seen SU stories, profiles, and tags getting spidered and passing link juice.

Although you wont get much traffic from Propeller or Digg, you'll get enough uniques from StumbleUpon. Also, if your website is actually useful to users, you can build up a regular stream of traffic only from these 3 sources.

Yep, this is another way to get your site indexed fast. But the only shortcoming of this method is that people have to take out time to write more articles. Plus, getting accepted takes quite some time. Sometimes, propeller tags rank better than eZineArticles. Contrary to this, making squidoo lenses, blogs, hubs doesn't take much time since you only have to write 4-5 lines or so describing your site. You don't need to make it sound promotional. The only thing you want is a backlink from them, not traffic.

Another nice method. Using auto comment posters such as Comment Kahuna can be useful. Although, people tend to spam using this method. Remember, our aim is to get indexed within 24 hours. Most of the blogs aren't well - indexed that fast. Some of them have filters, need approval, etc etc. But in the long run, if you don't actually spam, this could prove useful!
