Why did my page rank drop to 0

I have a website that is 6 years old. It has 305 inbound links and 213,000 pages according to google. It used to have a pagerank of 5. It then went down to 4. I haven't checked the page rank in a while and now it is down at 0. I have no idea how this happened. What is usually the cause for this?

As you can probably see yourself, lots of people here are asking for the same thing: why did their pagerank drop?
I'd say it's after google updated the pagerank algorythm and reviewed the value of each site....

 

I still express to people that PageRank is not really that big factor. If your site is good, it will attract decent amount of traffic, this is the key.

 

Yep, so long as the traffic didn't drop any, page rank is the least of your concern The www was a better place before page rank was implemented

 

I can see a PR4 in Google toolbar

 

This happend due to google page rank update. In each page rank updation google change some technique.

 

You may have accidentally done something wrong and google penalized you.

Hello. websites do not depend only on links. you should submit articles and directories as well as include some free materials to help visitors.

Same thing with my website www.afgpictures.com. My page rank was 2, and I asked SEO company to submit my link to forums as profile and post. After submitting my page rank up to 4, but now it is dropped back to 3. The reason was that websites removed the profile or post from thier website, as it was spam and my page rank dropped.

Decided to never experience again SEO company.
