The (Japanese) Ringu movies all rock. Saw is great (go Melbourne!). Horror doesn't really do it for me. Nothing comes close to The Birds and Spoorloos when it comes to getting me on the edge of my seat.

The two horror movies that I absolutely love is dawn of the dead (remake) and hostel. If you haven't seen them yet I recommend giving them a try

The Shutter (Thai version) The Eye (Chinese/Thai version) Remakes of horror movies are usually horrible.
I would recommend you to wathc those horror movies from asian country such as Thailand and Japan. Eventhough you dont understand what they said but I'm sure you will be scared like hell.
The Saw series is pretty good, the first one had pretty bad acting though but they got better. Amityville was pretty good.
