hi, i will begin a project soon and the domain i want have .net and .org tlds. i will give some resources and i want users to trust me . i wonder do people give more trust to .orgs at first imperession? Do you think couse of giving some resources, advices and researchs .org will be better? anway .org or .net ? thanks
.Org is being used by most organizations(mostly non-profit based). Most educational institutions/boards are using .ORG extensions over .net/com. So,.org is more preferable over .com/net for any non-profit based site only to be eye catching before users. About trustiness,it’s only about the contents/services,it provides. But about first impression,I like .org over .com/. net,as all most all of the educational institutes I have been coming across use .org. But important thing is first impression should be last long in reality. I think,.Edu is limited for educational purposes and .GOV is restricted for government usages !
depending of the content , trusty can be even a .com , people trust in time in someone not if they see an .org or .net , i agree in .edu more people trust , in .info less
You can build trust through valuable Presentation, user generated content, friendship & transparency, not through the tld. Porn.org is best example those who can support my view
I do think .org is quite powerful portraying trust if the website is designed right and everything else is good.
I think that a .org means an organization, that you are doing good. .net sounds more like a business to make a profit. I know this is a stereotype, but still it just seems that way.
Depends on the content of the web site, but in general, .org can win the trust more easily. And you should not list the content which should be in ".com" web site in your ".org" site, otherwise, the visitors will leave it very quickly, at least including me.
I don't think so. However, if your site is good and content is useful then you'll definitely gain their trust.
it's depends on your target, .org will good for non profit purpose and net more good for networking purpose, may it help
