Congratulations, , welcome to the family. It is a little overwhelming, information wise, but you'll get used to it once you're familiar with where everything is.

There really isn't any trick to it, just be honest and take the time to read our guidelines so you understand the category you're applying for and the type of sites that go in it, and give the information that's required on the application. If kids can do it, you should be able to. In fact, one young man became a meta in the Kids & Teens area of the Directory, if I remember right.

Unless you've been specifically advised "Please don't apply again" you're welcome to apply again. There's no mafia that I'm aware of, so don't be frightened.

Yeah, we have a tendency to be a little over helpful at times, I think. There's a lot more to learn than most people realize, but it's a lot of fun too. Regional editing provides a great deal of variety, as we deal with all topics rather than specializing in just one.

Most of the work is done where you are though, at the locality (city) level, because 90% of the sites in Regional go into a locality. The County, Metro, Region, and State levels are for entities with multiple offices, or informational sites that deal with those areas. The exceptions to that are the "come to you" businesses like bands, limosine services, maid services, personal chefs, ect, that might work across wide areas. It's very interesting, . Well to us it is, most people would be bored stiff with our conversations (the secret ones, you know).

Locality editors like yourself are the workhorses of the Directory, very important to us.
