I don't really think it's bloated, IE7 maybe, but more than anything it's too undeveloped considering how many years it's been around. Hell, it's been around since 95 or earlier, and FF comes out and starts beating it's ass. Why did they just now come out with tabs, and why don't they make it easier to develop in. I just think that a lot of IE's css and html rules are irrational. FF didn't take 15 years to develop, why should IE, and Microsoft is the one with all the money, they could make the best browser in the world if they wanted to....
Well not to seem partial that's what happens when you become king. You fail to innovate. That's what is happening to Google and while they are not crumbling they are facing serious competition from the "open-source industry" Microsoft and Yahoo might not have the means at the moment to take them on but the little guys are beating at their doors. Why do you think they try and buy out every single little company that poses a threat. In fact Google does not innovate anymore they just buy out other companies. Google Earth Feed Burner Double Click Sketch-Up Blogger need I go on. Microsoft is still innovative. But it only becomes innovative when it sees a wave coming in and it has to improvise to stay afloat. Too bad most of the needles trying to puncture its raft have been quite small and its able to patch them up pretty well. But as they say "its the little fox that spoils the grape". Too many small holes and you're going under.
It's just the myth that some people take for real. They don't even know what is a BSOD, why it is good, what's really good about Vista, what's up with those drivers and so on and so forth. They know just to blame Microsoft, event it isn't Microsoft's fault. Can be user's fault, or company's fault, and so on. But people like to generalize. Now there are too many users that even don't know to turn off their computers, but for them, everything that goes wrong (especially when it comes to games), but tend to blame Microsoft. Dears, not everything in HW/SW world is made by Microsoft and not everything that Microsoft makes is wrong and evil. Also, not all the computer-related problems are Microsoft's fault. So try to get rid of that anti-Microsoft fever and see what cool products they made, then document yourself. You'll see that Microsoft is not that bad, and it can't be either a perfect company.
Very good point. Its so funny how so many webmasters were talking about how Google listened to them and was so nice to them. Now that Google doesn't need them anymore and has gone on to court the corporate world they see what Google is really about. From the day Google went public I knew it was the end of the lovable era of Google. You just cant help it. When you're a big company you have to do what's in the best interest of your company and frankly speaking although it was the little guys who put Microsoft and Google to the top they don't have the buying capital to keep them up there. That's just how the cookie crumbles I guess.
I have thought about this before, it makes me feel good i use the browser most experienced computer users use FF3 all the way.
It makes me laugh each time I hear this. No hard feelings, mate, but I do not care about standards. I only care about what's displayed on my screen. For example, go to Superbreak.com and scroll down to the footer where their text links and RSS stuff sit. On FireFox it is a complete mess and I will tell you why: because FF is too ****** to understand <DIV>. I am familiar with the architecture of Superbreak and to be honest I like the way the site has been built and I have designed some sites in the same way. There is nothing wrong with having sophisticated <DIV> blocks. There is no reason to display them one over another like FF does that. So, I don't care about the standards. I want to use <DIV>s and I will!!!
Internet Explorer has a bad name now, FireFox has quite a good one. Where I live, if someone says that they are using internet explorer, you can always hear the 'eeww' haha Jam
I'm going to go with FF3. I have had a great experience with Firefox in the past so i expect no difference now.
true and that. The final release can't come soon enough, I miss some of the add-ons!! I check for updates like 3 times a day anyone heard a target date for the final FF3
I don't know about IE8 since I haven't tried it yet but I really like FireFox since it uses less resources
