A lot of competition my friend!
A good site, a good price (!). Try with this forum or with eBay.

You need to get a reseller account from some one. Or a master reseller account. There are many to chose from. like
    iwhic.com <---Us
    suntexhosting.com <----qualityhostings
    ConnectHost.net <---Cameron
    Fireballhost.com,---Stroh

These are in no particular order, and there are many more sorry for those i have missed

You will need to get a website, there are many designers here on dp as well, and advertise, which you cna do here as well.

    Hey,

To sell shared and reseller webhosting then you would need a VPS or a Dedicated! You can always use a Reseller but then your only able to sell Shared hosting accounts!

No serious business sell Master Resellers, as master resellers is way to hard to use for a new person that wants everything to go automatic! And when your moving away from the master reseller then you have to struggle to get the reseller accounts with you! Never problmeatic free..... A master reseller will allow you to create your own shared accounts & resellers!

But like mentiond, VPS is recomendend for a new business were you get your own dedicated ram, hdd, bandwidth and IPs with root access! Visit http://wiree.net/vps/ for some good VPS offers, or visit http://wiree.net/reseller/ for some good Reseller offers ;)

    Good luck in your search!

A master reseller license is not really expensive at all! And i would gladly me looking forward to were you redirect me to a company on a size like Hostnine and Hostgator that sells Master Resellers!

What i mean is that there is not many good billing systems out there that supports the Master Reseller software to automaticly setup a reseller on the Software when a new order ticks in! It has do be done manually in most cases!

None of them sell masters because it would lose them so much money... Why? Because they oversell by 1000's of GB, and I bet you that 10x more space/bandwidth would be used if they offered master resellers on their highly oversold plans as people could just go around offering free reseller accounts to everyone, or sell something stupid like 50GB for $2...

It's not done in the billing system. It's done in WHM. What you do, is you set it up as a normal reseller in WHMCS/Modernbill/ClientEXEC or whatever you use and then give the plan "Automatic master permissions" so when the billing system creates the account, WHM will assign master reseller privileges.

I tend to agree with Freddy.
HostGator does oversell their shared hosting, but it does Not oversell its reseller hosting, similarly it could sell master reseller, without overselling.

But the Master Reseller software comes without Support, with loads of bugs, & is not a well-tested/developed piece of software, which is why most companies (who care for the security/reliability of their servers) do not go for Master Resellers.

With your statement you are actually confirming what Netx said, and not what Freddy said.
You state that they would not have to oversell their master reseller accounts like they do with their shared accounts. But that is exactly what netx says, it will make them lose alot of money because normally they sell these shared hosting plans themselves and oversell them bigtime! If they sell master resellers and cant oversell, it makes them lose money!

    Just my few cents.

    By the way, ontopic:

We offer master reseller accounts, and would also be happy to help you out! PM me for this.

Well right now, there is a version with virtually no bugs at all (except for a few minor bugs with transferring accounts etc)

Also, there is pretty much no security risk at all when using WHMReseller, as it just creates via the root password. If you know of a security issue, please point it out to us ;)

Thats right. There is an option in WHMreseller master reseller plugin for giving automatic permission. Freddy I think you didnt notice it.
I am also doing the same, its pretty easy. The master reseller will get permission automatically after the account creation. Ofcourse it is not instantly, whmreseller is doing this using a cron job.

Me too agree that whmreseller is coming with NO good support and lot of bugs. But this doesnt mean that the use of the addon is risky.
As far as I know , whmreseller is made using perl ( same as cPanel's coding ) and the source code is encrypted. Also, it is working inside the port 2086 or 2087 and only visible after entering the root password..

I didnt hear any security bugs in it. Some other bugs are in it like migration error etc.

When the client buys a master reseller from you, then he cannot automaticly create resellers, as creating resellers is not done the same way as root cPanel then Master Reseller does it!

And no billing systems support automatic reseller creation on a Master Reseller!

May i ask what your talking about ? What Ishan ment is that if you look at Hostgator, then yes they oversell their Shared hosting plans! But they don't oversell their Reseller Accounts to badly, and what Ishan ment is that Hostgator, Hostnine, Servage or any other company could do same plans like resellers but as Master Resellers, which wouldn't be desperate overselling would it ? And why don't they do it ? Well, Ishan explained that to you!

Obviously Freddy you have never used WHMReseller.

There is a tab called "Auto grant master reseller rights" where you can have a set up a package in WHM. When it's created, the software will pick it up and assign it Master reseller ;)

Now i am confused, for one that is a new feature! Second, this is when your client is ordering ? Does this also work for YOUR clients that got a Master Reseller with you ? Because i dont remember wrong then your client can't sell Master Resellers but only Resellers? So will it work creating Resellers to ?

    Good Thread

I was just looking for some reseller hosting and had a look at hostnine

I'd strongly recommend checking out the support

Hostgator may be very good with uptime and speed of gettign you online

but there support is shocking online chat support desk nothing , can do nothing apart from try to upsell you

Call me stupid but I still have two account hosted with Hostgator on shared hosting after having one of the worst hosting experiences of my life.

A hacker got into my account and sent out thousands of spam mails, this from a site that was getting around 3000-5000 unique visitors a day
Earned between 200 and 800 us a day from clickbank I had several pages using redirects showing in the serps
and had a very healthy ctr for adsense the domain was three years old I was the only owner and it was a nz url

hostgator suspened my site I emailed and rang them to get my site back online and they wantd a reason why I wouldnt spam

I told them only a fool would spam from a site that was earning thousands a month and If I wanted to be a spammer I'd buy some info domains for 99 cents and then throw them away not risk one of my main money earner sites.

I sent them my earning stats plus asked them to look at my log files to confirm the traffic.

I rang them twice and aked them what I needed to do did what was required

Do you know why my account was suspended this made me sick

I had marked an email from a site hosted on hostgator as spam (It was fro man enlargement type site for body parts) in my yahoo inbox

The site was hosted with hostgator and they said it was againest their terms for me to do this as it could get their whole server banned.

I said they shouldn't have spammers on their servers in the first place.

well in the end they made me so mad I made a video and stuck it on you tube

brent the owner of hosgator saw it and said they tried to work with me but I wouldnt try and sort it out.

Funny thing is that same site is still hosted at hostgator now a year later its so large it would take me hours to ftp it to a new server.

I never got an apology and to start off with they told me a load of bs and gave me the run around for days all the time I was losing dollars

Now I will gladly pay an extra ten or even twenty a month for good support which is very hard to find.

I strongly recommend do some research before signing up.
