    Hello guys,

    it has already been a few weeks since the .asia domain landrush was over. I wonder how many of DP members got a .asia domain? I applied for one but the other bids were huge, so i lost :( .

    Please share your experiences :) .

    Personally, I don't like throwing my money down the drain for a crappy extention that will never make it.

    @johan-cr,

    The landrush is already over and private registrations are now open to all. all good .asia domains are already taken. try finding a dictionary domain if you want. If i remember well, the landrush ended on 26th March and private registrars were allowed .asia registrations directly afterwards.

    Yes I remember the big to do when to .mobi's came along oh yah I barely remember the .info, .biz, .cc, ok you see we clearly passed on this .asia as well.
    We own a portfolio of .com extensions only except a dozen .org's and a half a dozen .mobi's that we were hyped into.
    We learned our lesson long ago, I would say.
    Logic...

    Landrush is over yes. BUT the domains applied for during landrush that had more than application are not distributed yet. They are going into auction, these auctions have NOT been held yet.

    You said that you applied but others bids were too high, which seems strange to me as no auctions have been held yet for the landrush period.

    I'm sticking to dot coms as well, ccTLD's are enough for people residing in asia..

    i got MyBloggers.asia just to see how it plays out.
    I do have a network for asian bloggers on .COM and will move it to MyBloggers.asia only if that extension as any future.
