While there's many things I like about Google - great Search Engine, great focus on user experience, but the longer I've been working online the more they annoy me.

The lack of communication with publishers & website owners is really starting to bother me.

I've seen a few Google algorithms playing up lately and penalizing individual posts or websites for no reason - even top SEO guys like Aaron Wall have been unable to figure some of this stuff out.

Yet Google rarely communicates with webmasters to help them - sure there is the odd occasion Matt Cutts addresses something if a big enough fuss is made - but its rare.

Are you getting annoyed with Google?

Anything to increase search results relevancy and prevent the manipluation of search results is welcomed by me with open arms.

Nothing annoys me about Google.. they offer the best services ever.
I don't think they should communicate with webmasters, they're there to offer a search engine and not to help people rank better. That's a webmasters own responsibility by offering good unique content.
The quality of the search results has gotten better over the years (way less spam) so we have nothing to complain about. :)

Sometimes searches are totally unrelated, like how when you search: common places for credit card fraud

our web dev company has a #1 listing.

I also hate how you could feel like you have a handle on SEO with Google, then they could go and change things so that you lose your rankings and your shirt.

I also think adwords is a scam with the "minimum bids" acting as just a way of price gouging...

But besides all that Google is great. ;)

I guess everyone likes and hates Google :) They produce such innovative products, but because of their PR we have to work and work and work in order to get a good PR.

What about when a webmaster does everything Google says it should, creates great content and gets lots of natural backlinks.

Then Google makes a mistake and penalizes it by accident.

And this is happening a lot & without explanation.

Webmaster is left wondering if they accidently did something wrong - or if Google is playing up. Meantime they lose thoasands of dollars in revenue.
