Massive Potential for $$$$ in Local Searches | Low Competition & High Demand...

Each time I end up searching for something local online I realize what massive potential there is to make a lot of money.

Local Search Results are extremely uncompetitive as is local PPC competition.

    Some examples:
    - A friend of mine wanted to start a cleaning business and I took a look on Google and realized I could easily set up a very cheap PPC campaign and also get a number of top ten listings with just 3 hours work.

    - I recently started music lessons and when searching for local teachers online I found the same thing. Very low competition.

Not only could you sell services to local businesses to increase their presence on the web locally - but you can also take advantage of such low competition and reasonable demand to promote other related products - it requires a bit of thinking outside the box but you can do very well with this method.

There's some very big potential here...

    Thoughts?

Interesting idea, but like shelly mentioned your best results would come form bigger cities which are most likely saturated already.

If you are targeting very specific niches within smaller towns, your results will most likely not be that staggering.
You could most likely buy ads cheap and rank fairly high but your target audience is most likely extremely small.

The biggest cities are quite saturated (but not always).

However there are just so many medium sized cities and regions which are over-looked. Lots of demand there with low competition.
