Changing from Phrase to Broad match does it effect CPC

I was just curious if I change certain keywords from phrase to broad match will it effect anything shouldn't my cost go down with broad matched keywords?

I really don't want to touch it, but I'm thinking if I use broad and eliminate all negatives I can get cheaper clicks, but then again all my phrase match keywords are at Great quality score and my cost is starting to go down.

So will it make a difference changing the keyword matching type?

No, simply changing from one match type to another won't have a direct impact on your actual CPC.

test a different match type in a different campaign. Do not simply switch between match types.

are you saying replicate one campaign, but on another campaign use different match types?

For example I could go into adwords editor and copy one campaign re-create the campaign and then set different match types on the 2nd campaign?

    yes...

but I normally just do it ad the adgroup level

    example

    Adgroup Name - Broad
    Adgroup Name - Exact

Yea I would do that, but I have some campaigns that have around 75 ad groups because I have them very high targeted, so in other words down to the tee, but the CTR went up to great when I did that.

If you don't mind me asking are you a 6 digit super affiliate a month?

It won't change your cpc on keywords that both match types pick up. But broad match would pick up additional keywords, which will each have their own cost per click. So your overall cpc could go up or down, depending on how much you pay for those...
